First try another psu, if it doesnt solve the problem, then the motherboard probably has a serious problem. You may have to change it

Hello,I need information on hard drive speed and

if you are replaceing a hard drive all you will need to do is make sure you match it up to IDE ATA133 or SATA type connections. otherwise the hard drive info should be printed on the top of the old drive.

Packard bell utow co20 the computer will stay on for as long as I dont use it, but as soon as I start useing it it will shut down in about 5 mins

First things first: "work" in giving this away has dodged the "responsible disposal" bullet. Drivers for this unit are probably limited to windows 98 or earlier, as the last Packard-Bell was produced in that era. Drivers for sound in particular were Packard-Bell only, and since they aren't around any more unless you can get your hands on the original installation CD you're out of luck to make the existing soundcard work. You do howrever have the option to install a newer soundcard, that should fix that issue. As for the shutting down, make sure the heatsink has good thermal contact with the processor as it sounds like the processor may be overheating. If there's a fan make sure it is running.

You've got a challenge if you want to see it all work, have fun.

Go to the above site and download and install them
then go to device driver right click sound and upgrade them it will go on net to find and install them

Packard Bell iMedia S3720 startup problem

The battery charges the BIOS and is not utilized directly. Sometimes it takes a few days for it to take effect. Placing the battery may have stressed the Setup so my advise is to reset the BIOS. There may be a jumper over two out of three pins and reset takes as much as placing it over the other two for a couple of seconds. When this does not work then remove the battery and replace it after waiting but are you sure the battery is placed right, deep enough and not upside down? Some computers have two contacts that should be shorted out for a moment. I am not sure what you mean by removed harddisk. It may not function without a suitable harddisk and one fit for the limitations of the BIOS version. When it is on PATA cables, then make sure the Master/Slave jumper is set and the cable its longer end is on the motherboard controller. Beeps usually give an error code, where a long beep may indicate that a harddisk wasn't found. The very short and almost silent beep means the memory can be tested prior to boot. Perhaps the memory is unfit or displaced. When any of this does not help you may need some-one on site to take a look at it. PSU's can be diagnosed with a tester plug and those don't have to cost much.

Packard Bell PB9000-32 tablet. The software says WIFI signal strong, it sees the network, but it will not connect? All the details for WIFI connection are correct?

Question heavily edited for typos! WiFi only needs two things The SSID, that is the name of the network. Mine is Bell 8200. The WPA Password. This is usually a mix of 8 letters and numbers. The details are usually on the Router or with the paperwork that came with it.
