Why does our new microwave not work? Can set the time and it counts down when we have pressed start but does nothing else.

There is a big fuse inside that thing. Check to see that it is not open. Could be that the magnetron, lite, and dish are all on the same circuit.

My microwave do not heat the food but it work please answer me

Probably either- the high voltage capacitor has failed- the magnetron itself has failed- the high capacity fuse in line to the above 2 items has blownMicrowaves can be very dangerous if you poke around inside, even when unplugged. Take it to a service tech and get a rough quote, which could approach $150 for parts and labour. It may be cheaper to buy another.

Wont turn on

see this causes and fix it. God bless youNo Lights or Power, Unit seems Dead First check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse. Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.10_11_2012_10_36_01_am.gif

Brand new microwave lights up

Since this is a new set you must claim for the free warranty on the set before you try to tamper.

If you want to continue check with these tips.:

Make sure that the program controller is working if not check power - step down supply, the pads are responding- if not faulty pads- or the door switches, if the switch contact are not good then it will not trigger the processor to switch on the waveguides. If the lights or fan work without any display or action of program being triggered to start then it can be a possible fault on the main board or the processor. Sometimes insect secretion can short the board and display panel and so the processor can work in such an erratic manner. If so clean , solder and reset the board.

If there is no heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron. So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off. Check the wave guide covers, if food had depositedthen it must be checked or replaced.

See link: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/1146/how-to-replace-a-microwave-guide-cover.html

Now keeping clear of the microwave, switch on, use a cup of water inside to test. If you notice any sparks shut off as the magnetron or the main HT capacitor can be faulty. replace with same type.If there is heating without any issues, you can use the microwave safely

Brand new microwave lights up plate turns around

If everything works, but no heat sounds like the magnetron circuit has failed. Since it is brand new, just take it back to the store and complaint that it does not work, and ask for a refund or replacement oven.

Daewoo KOC-925T microwave/convection touchscreen will not work?

Take it to a Daewoo Service Centre, and they can get parts and you don't really want to be messing inside a Microwave.. In normal circumstances, with a cheap make like Daewoo, you just replace them, but get a quote. Help and videos in the link, if you choose to take the risk. https://www.google.com/search?q=Daewoo+KOC-925T+microwave%2Fconvection+touchscreen+will+not+work https://www.fixya.com/support/r29874712-repairing_microwave_ovens ..

Check the rear for a screw cap fuse. If there isn't one, you need a Daewoo service centre.

I have a daewoo microwave+oven.due to overheating microwave stopped while oven is still working.how can i repair microvave??

The voltages inside a microwave oven are very dangerous, potentially fatal, so clearly the testing and repair need specialist experience and test equipment... Anyone needing to ask the question clearly should contact their local repair shop.

Daewoo KOR1N0A - part of the touch panel isn't responding, it's the lower keys (Power, 0, Clock) that I can't get to work even though I can feel a pressure pad depressing. Is there a replacement?

The key pad assembly is faulty as the carbon contacts get disconnected, the only remedy is the replacement of touch key pad.

Daewoo KOR-7LREM Retro micro Sporadic:sometimes heats up the food & most of the time doesn't heat like it should-have to add time to the recommended time but getting increasingly unreliable.

Does it have a turn table that spins your food container? If so, does it turn? If not, you are getting a solid directed beam of microwaves focused on one part of your food leaving the rest of it ignored. If it doesn't have a turn table, it will have a wave spreader inside which is nothing more than an aluminum fan that is sometimes driven by a small motor and rubber belt. You won't see this as it is inside the chamber that contains the magnetron that generates the microwaves. These belts can break allowing a solid, focused microwave beam to shine on your food rather than be distributed around the oven, again, leaving the rest unwarmed. If this is the case, using the oven can damage it over time. If you don't know what you are doing, DO NOT try to repair it yourself!!! If you don't get the outer casing back together properly, you can expose yourself and / or your family to dangerous amounts of microwave radiation. You should take it to a qualified service center for repair but I would venture a guess that it is already damaged because of your statement "but getting increasingly unreliable". Even if it isn't damaged, it will probably cost you more in labor to fix it than it would cost to replace it. Good luck.

My Daewoo Micro Wave Was Spitting Flames Last Night Due To A Hole In The Wave Plate

Hello Stephanie. Get a new filter and try again. Otherwise scrap the micro. It the filter plate rusted through, or is it burnt? The microwave's Magnetron-wave-guide is just behind this filter plate. Looks like a small tube with a silvery cap with hole in center. Very hazardous condition here. The high energy from it is damped by the filter. Is there food in the micro when arcing happens? An empty micro will arc.
