Check the rear for a screw cap fuse. If there isn't one, you need a Daewoo service centre.

The voltages inside a microwave oven are very dangerous, potentially fatal, so clearly the testing and repair need specialist experience and test equipment... Anyone needing to ask the question clearly should contact their local repair shop.

The key pad assembly is faulty as the carbon contacts get disconnected,the only remedy is the replacement of touch key pad.

Does it have a turn table that spins your food container? If so, does it turn? If not, you are getting a solid directed beam of microwaves focused on one part of your food leaving the rest of it ignored. If it doesn't have a turn table, it will have a wave spreader inside which is nothing more than an aluminum fan that is sometimes driven by a small motor and rubber belt. You won't see this as it is inside the chamber that contains the magnetron that generates the microwaves. These belts can break allowing a solid, focused microwave beam to shine on your food rather than be distributed around the oven, again, leaving the rest unwarmed. If this is the case, using the oven can damage it over time. If you don't know what you are doing, DO NOT try to repair it yourself!!! If you don't get the outer casing back together properly, you can expose yourself and / or your family to dangerous amounts of microwave radiation. You should take it to a qualified service center for repair but I would venture a guess that it is already damaged because of your statement "but getting increasingly unreliable". Even if it isn't damaged, it will probably cost you more in labor to fix it than it would cost to replace it. Good luck.

Hello Stephanie. Get a new filter and try again. Otherwise scrap the micro. It the filter plate rusted through, or is it burnt? The microwave's Magnetron-wave-guide is just behind this filter plate. Looks like a small tube with a silvery cap with hole in center. Very hazardous condition here. The high energy from it is damped by the filter. Is there food in the micro when arcing happens? An empty micro will arc.

Could be anything froma bad Magnetron to a bad door switch or loose connection at mag or HV capacitor.Could be a bad solder connection to the power relay on the main circuit board/ timer. Is it making any loud humming sounds? If so, that would be either a mag shorted to ground or a shorted rectifier. A shorted Capacitor would cause it to blow the fuse. A pretty broad question, its not heating whats the problem!!!

I have painted many Microwave oven cavities. You have to sand down the pealed off rusted areas and completely clean and degrease. Before painting, I use laquer thinner as a cleaner degreaser. Fumes can be a bit strong but it has worked well of me. I normally buy an automotive spray paint. They have a lot of different colors and a lot of the import colors can really come close to the color inside the microwave. Spray on thin layers till you get good coverage and make sure you let it dry thoroughly before trying to use. The paint in a Microwave isi not a special microwave energy protective paint. it is only there to make it look pretty and protect the metal. So a good automotive paint normally works fine.

There are three parts that could be bad. One is a high voltage diode, another is a capacitor and the third is the magnetron itself. If you are not familiar with these terms, it is time for a new microwave oven.

You must remove the shell around the oven. Start at the back and remove all the screws you can find there at the sides and the bottom of the oven, pull straight back to remove shell.

It may be that the door interlock system has not worked properly, and blown an Internal fuse inside the case. Did you slam the Microwave door when you last used it? This is a common cause of the fuse blowing. As it is still new, I suggest that you contact your supplier, or local service agent to carry out the neccesary repair, probably for FREE. :) I hope this helps?
