Why my pendrive not open in my pc ?

Are any of your devices (TV, PC) Apple ? I\'ll assume not, and describe the procedure for Windows (XP)First, has the pen drive any files on it (for example film clips which can watch on your TV ? Are these valuable (you do not wish to lose) ? If the answer is \'no\', then you can try these two steps (for windows XP):Your pen drive works in your TV, but not in your computer. This suggests that maybe it is conflict of formats used by your TV and your computer. Consult your TV user guide to find which formats it is able to use. If your computer is a windows computer, it will most likely need disks (pen drives) formatted as FAT32 or NTFS. If eiher of these are mentioned in TV \'s user guide, that is good. 1. Left click on the windows start button at the bottom left of screen (a kind of flag symbol). Right click on \'My Computer\' or \'Computer\'. A drop-down menu will appear, from which you should select \'Manage\' by left clicking. A new window will open: some in this window will be an icon with the words DiskManagement by it. Double click or single, can\'t remember and yet another window will open, with information about all your disks, including your memory stick. Somewhere on this screen against that disk (which might be reported as \'Disk 1\' in the lower box) it should give the format. This should be either FAT32 or NTFS. It may be RAW or not recognized. If it says exFAT I fear there is no easy way to proceed, and you stop. (this might be a problem if your PC is running Windows XP, but not if it uses Windows 7 or 8). In any case you can right click in lower right box against the pen drive entry (NOT YOUR SYSTEM DISK !!) which bring up a drop down menu which should contain an option for formatting. Formatting will ERASE ALL DATA ON THE DRIVE BEING FORMATTED so choose the correct one. If given the option you should choose FAT32 and Full format (not quick format). Leave all the settings as default values, and proceed. This mat not work, in which case ....shut the DiskManagement Window etc. and2. Click on the Start button again, and select All Programs, and from that Accessories, and from that command prompt (the symbol being a small black square). A new window with a black background will open with an ">" prompt . You will have remembered the letter assigned to the pen drive, from either the Windows file explorer of DiskManagement. Type "FORMAT XXX: /fs:FAT32" and press return: the disk will be formatted. XXX is the letter assigned to the pen drive, which might be G or H for example. Ensure you get the correct one, if you are unsure do not proceed. Formatting a disk will result in all data on that disk (including a pen drive, and a harddisk) being lost. If successful this may take some time. Even if unsuccessful, it may take some time. In the latter case, I may have further suggestions to help. Please report back.11.June.2014

Floppy disk write protection tab broken. How do I open disk?

Put a piece of tape over the disk so it covers the holes on both sides. This would be the small rectangular hole where the tab is broken. Use thin tape (like Scotch brand) and wrap on both sides and you should be OK. The disk should be readable either way though as the tab makes the disk read-only.

Hi,i had made a passwrd for my memory and now i

Solution one

  • Go to file manager on your mobile
  • In Settings choose system folders,
  • In the System folder, find a file called mmcstore
  • Send the file to your PC using IR/Bluetooth
  • Open the file in Notepad
  • The password you need for your memory card is located within that file
Solution two 1. Insert your card into your phone, without accessing it through the phone 2. Run FExplorer and Open the path C:\system 3. Find the file called mmcstore, and rename it mmcstore.txt 4. Copy that file (mmcstore.txt) to your PC and open it in Notepad 5. Your password will be located within that file.

Unwrite protect sd card

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My 8gb pendrive is right

This is what you need to do:

What is not the problem, is the position of the switch entirely. With the SD card Face up and the tiny white plastic switch on the left side, should be slid toward the card edge connector (the shortest side). I know you may have done this and it still doesn't work. Here's why, On the opposite side of the SD card from the switch, there is a tiny "Notch" cut out.

Place a piece of tape, masking, electrical, sometimes transparent will work. Be very precise in placing the tape over the notch, but not over the brass connector on the opposite side. Then place it in your card reader, format it, read and write files to your desire.

This is a little known issue with the design of all SD cards. The notch forces them to work in camera's, MP3 Players, PDA's, etc. that are portable devices, but not in USB card readers or computers with SD reader slots.

The card reader with the SD card has this extra built in feature to protect copyrights (for some reason on blank cards), and makes it useless for custom applications. Once you have "Unprotected" the SD card, installed your files, then remove the tape.

If you get the same error again after applying the tape, add a second layer. Double check that you did not cover the connection edge, and the plastic tab is closet to the side you insert in the device you are using.

Sometimes it takes several tries, but it will work with patience. If you have existing files on the SD card, insert it, right click, select properties. Then remove the "Read Only" check by the box and try to delete or add files then. If it says Disk Write Protected, then check the tape again.

It's annoying, but it will work with patience to bypass this design flaw.

Good luck!!

Pendrive Transcend 8GB JFV10 error

First
Write Protection on any portable USB Device can be applied by the physical lock provided on the card adjuster or some times provided on the pen drives, so make sure to make your drive not write protected by moving the lock in right direction.
But even after moving the physical lock for write protection the problem can happen due to some virus action. This happens when some virus or script which applies the registry hack to make any drive write protect when connected to the computer, In that case follow the procedure below to remove write protection from your pen drive.
1. Open Start Menu >> Run, type regedit and press Enter, this will open the registry editor.
2. Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

Note: If the registry key StorageDevicePolicies key does not exist, you will need to create it

Download this batch file called add.bat from here, and double click after download the key will be automatically added to registry.

3. Double click the key WriteProtect in the right pane and set the value to 0 in the Value Data Box and press OK button

4. Exit Registry, restart your computer and then again re-connect your USB pen drive on your computer. That is it, done.

However if that does not solve your problem try this
Think this write protection error is due to some virus.

I have a transcend pendrive

It is possible that the memory was damaged or is infected with a strong virus malware that does a block on detection to the PC. try the same on another PC which has a good protection and if this works there are faults on your port or the PC is infected.
If the drive is still not detected then the memory is faulty even after you try to format on any PC.
