My trancend pendrive was detected but windows says "insert a disk into drive"
click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X
you will need to update/reinstall drivers
right click to reinstall drivers
if you can see your usb drive but its not working
ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem
check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems to a computer and its parts
if you need more help with this or if i have missed the problem post a reply
hope it helps

Fell from the table worked
I'm sorry but if the drive does not work anymore, you can't obtain your files. You could try to contact Transcend support and see if they are able to help you in any way but you will most likely get the same response.

Probably dead disk. My, the same type is replaced today since was in guarantee. The guy in service when I answered on his question about symptoms: "very slow responce, often need to format, etc", just said: "it's dead, need to be replaced". And they did.

External hard drives are portable storage devices you can use to back up files or transfer content from one computer to another quickly and safely.
While external hard drives vary in design and storage capacity, turning them off properly is ideal because it decreases the chances of damaging or corrupting files.
Whether you are using Windows or Mac OS X, you can safely eject and turn off your external hard drive in minutes.
Safely eject your external hard drive before turning it off if you have connected it to your computer.
To do so, click the "Safely remove hardware" icon on the system tray on the taskbar. T
he hardware window launches.
Click your external hard drive's icon in the hardware window and click the "Stop" button.
You should see the "This device can now be safely removed from your computer" dialog message.
Press the "Power" button to turn off your external hard drive.
Some external hard drives turn off automatically when you safely eject them.
Right-click your external hard drive's icon on the desktop if you are using a Mac, and then click "Eject."
Alternatively, drag your external hard drive's icon from the desktop to the "Trash" bin.
You should no longer see your hard drive on the desktop.
Press the "Power" button to turn off your external hard drive
