hi, check the battery's shape, if it is bulged replace it, check the panel keys if any of it sticky or loose, use contact cleaner spry on the keys.

Dry your phone with simple towel. Then put your phone in a bag of rice for over 24 hours. Take out your phone and try to start it and see if it works. I am talking about phones in which battery can't be separated. If you could separate the battery then, dry it from outside then pull out the battery and dry gently inside then put it in a bag of rice overnight and start it next day.

If the battery can come out, pull it immediately to prevent further electrical and corrosion issues. If it landed in dirty water, you should rinse it off as it is already wet it won't hurt anything further. After that there are a few options but the main goal it to be sure you get it all the way dry before turning it on again. The last time my phone went in the water I put it in an OPEN ziplock bag full of rice then placed it by the heater. If you are like me and it is hot enough in your house, you could turn your oven to it's lowest setting, 150 degrees or less, and leave your item in there for an hour or more. I would not turn it back on for at least a day or two. if you see and steam on the inside of the screen, it is not dry enough to turn on.

the flash light works only on low light environment, check your setup manu, change the setting to always flash if you need.

Has it been dropped? I had a cabera that was dropped and the lense would not go all the way back in which caused the lense covers to not close.

If it is a SD or SDHC memory card, there is a small write protect switch on the side of the card. Remove the memory card from the camera and slide the switch to the unlocked position.
