I bought an disk

Try resetting the unit via the reset button, press this button for a couple of seconds and the unit should Boot up, if it doesn't then don't panic, you can hook it up to the USB and hopefully reflash the program back onto the device.
With the unit off, place your thumbnail in the groove located under the Garmin logo on the face plate, gently pull off the face place. Press the reset button and turn the unit back on.


You need to install the Garmin software, http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00401-10

after this you connect up the device to the usb port and download and install the latest firmware, if successful, then you probably won't/don't need to use the DVD anyway.

try Tools.... Settings....Language.... under Voice tab select one that ends with ( TTS ) text to speech....

Garmin c330 says trouble tracking satelites, not

If your StreetPilot c300 or c500 series device is no longer acquiring satellites please read the article linked below to ensure that this is not being caused by something in your environment:

Why won't my unit acquire satellites?

If after reading the above article your unit is still having problems, please ensure that your unit's software is up to date. You can do this by using our WebUpdater® program.

If you have tried all of the above suggestions and your unit is still not acquiring satellites, you can perform a master reset by doing the following:

Note: A master reset will erase all waypoints or favorites and will restore your unit to the default factory settings.
  1. Start with the unit powered OFF and unplugged from power.
  2. Touch and hold the bottom right corner of the touchscreen.
  3. Power the unit ON and continue pressing the screen until a new message displays, "Do You Really Want To Erase All User Data?".
  4. Touch Yes and go through the set up again.
Take the unit outside and let it set with a clear view of the sky for 3-5 minutes to acquire satellites. If the unit still does not acquire satellites after this, please contact Garmin Product Support.

Arrival time is off by hours

sounds like its in bicycle or pedestrial mode.....switch it back to automobile...

not sure on your unit but try this it may be the same as my nuvi......go to Tools.... Settings.... System...Usage mode .....make sure its on Automobile.....

I have streetpilot c330.Updated 1 year ago,now it

This is a problem with the device itself, it should let you past that "message" to use the navigator without issue. It is freezing at that point. You will want to contact Garmin to see if they can load the software back on their for free for you, it has become corrupted or the hardware has actually failed.

Call them at 1-800-800-1020

My screen calibration is off -- if I type a 4 I

I'm not so sure how to do your unit but on the Garmins Tools.... Help section has the troubleshooting area that is awesome, look for it on your unit


I'm not sure on this either but check your keyboard see what language its in....
to do that go to Where To..... Address....spell city.....on bottom of screen press MODE

make sure American English is picked

Will not turn on

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. It seems that it is either not charging up properly or the battery has gone bad. To start with plug the unit with the adapter or USB cable. If still it's not resolved then you'll have to get the battery replaced.

I have a garmin street pilot 330c, when i turn it

I have a garmin c330 that works well except the little connection for power broke when it fell from the window. The unit still works well on battery. I need the small connector under the unit to operate with my DC cord. Does anyone have one they do not want or does anyone want the c330 for a small price. I purchased another newer Garmin

Go to Tools.....Settings....Language.... under Voice make sure Language with ( TTS ) is chosen

Garmin will not take a charge

Are you using the car charger adapter plug? If so the plug may have a blown fuse... I would unscrwew the silver end of plug and check fuse ...its spring loaded so be careful...

If the fuse is good try plugging the unit into your computer with the usb connector to see if it charges .... its a slow charge so may take a few hours to fully charge

It fuse is good and unit takes a usb charge the car plug needs replacing

I am trying to enter or find the following address

ok I did find that address on mine....

Go to Where To..... Address..... on this screen first change the State to Florida on bottom of screen

Then enter city as St Cloud instead of saint cloud

you should be all set

If you need any more help just reply back.....sometimes you have to abbreviate the name other times you dont

Garmin c330 turns on, gets maps, etc., but will

1.) Plug in your GPS into a computer and see if there is any updates, especially Firmware update

2.) Make sure you are in a clear view area to sky to receive sattelite,

3.) Go to Tools....Settings.... on the gps simulator make sure it is On

I just purchased the lifetime update for my Garmin

plug in your unit and give Garmin a call, they are pretty helpful.

Make sure you have a clear view of the sky so it will find the satelites..

How do I get to the interface option on the garmen c330?

Fairly certain there is no interface option. I've updated the software, I've clicked all the little buttons... We just can't use Spanner to change our USB ports to COM ports and NetStumble. Sucks to be us. We should buy new GPSes, and curse Garmin for our foul luck.

Garmin Nuvi 660 screen no

The only way to find if the touch LCD is fine is to get the firmware reinstalled. If the problem does not go away then the LCD or the connections need help.
