Hold the Display & press Vol. UP AT LEAST 3 SECONDS. THE "----" WILL DISSAPREAR. NOW TAKE YOUR REMOTE AND DIGIT "KCAR" WITH THE NUMBER PAD.
PRESS "5", "5", >>| (NEXT TRACK) YOU GOT A "K"
PRESS "2", "2","2" >>| (NEXT TRACK) YOU GOT A "C"
PRESS "2", >>| (NEXT TRACK) YOU GOT A "A"
PRESS "7", "7", YOU GOT A "R"
PRESS >>| (NEXT TRACK)
IF DISPLAY SHOWS "APPROVED" YOU'RE DONE.

This method remove code.

Did you ever enter a code that you chose? If so, reenter it. If not, call kenwood with serial # and they can tell you the oem preset code.

DOES it ask for a code? check your power sources and make sure they are holding 12 volts.

the only way you can get the code is to ring kenwood with the make and model or try 0123 ,1234,0000,4321

only the original owners manual for the cd player has it as it is meant to prevent a theif from using it of selling it you can down load a copy of the manual at www.kenwood.com from the instruction manuals page

can u take face off hit eject from behind it ? thers emgency eway but u need to pull whole unit out and on toppush it out
