My son took my car

HI, thanks for posting your Question..

Problem can be solved..What made the radio go off is because the battery was connected wrongly and it has affected a part in the car called (Fuse),not the radio..

But first, you will need to unscrew where the radio is connected to the car, there is a fuse that looks like the one at the below diagram that is located at the back of the radio.

coolken_12.jpg

How to test the radio. You can use the multimeter to verify power in the radio harness. Set the meter for DCV, 20v range. Pull the radio, connect the meter's black lead to a ground point (some metal part under the dash will do). Turn your key to the accessory position. Test for voltage on the black/pink wire and the green/violet wire. Both wires should show 12V; if you have voltage on both wires, and the radio isn't working, try disconnecting it for a minute to reset it. Plug it back in; if it doesn't work after that, it's defective.

After checking that , next step will be your main fuse box..

In a car, there is a place where all the fuse that controls a particular function in a car is located in the car, locate the fuse box ..

Use the diagram below for guide lines..

After checking those, keep me posted let me know ..

All sound is adjustable in

It seems possible that when the CD circuit is activated there is a higher transcient signal that seems to drive the SUB WOOFER AMPLIFIER to shut off as it seems to go into a PROTECT MODE.
So what needs to be checked is that the unit must be taken out and checked for any ground fault on the CD board.Disconnect the linking cord to the HEAD UNIT and check, If so there can be fault in the board/ optical unit.
Finally look out for loose ends of cable connectors, tighten them as a weak link can be open signal.
Check also the power to the CD board, check for any DRY SOLDERING POINTS.

Reset a Kenwood 8070 without a remote?

To reset a Kenwood 8070 receiver without a remote, you typically need to locate the reset button on the device itself. This button is often small and recessed, so you may need a paperclip or a similar tool to press it. Consult the user manual or look for the reset button near the power or input/output ports on the receiver. Once located, press and hold the reset button for a few seconds until you see the receiver reset. Keep in mind that this process may vary slightly depending on the specific model of the Kenwood 8070 receiver.
