Lights up no sound
Sounds like you crossed wires. Civic or should say Hondas wiring is different from most cars color codes check the wires.

I have a kdc-mp228 I
by taking out the car battery the way you did, the radio thinks that it was stolen & placed into another car. You have to go the KENWOOD people.

Visit the new website siriusxm.com then turn on your radio and put it to channel zero get the radio id which compose of an alphanumeric characters. Then on the website refresh.siriusxm.com enter the radio id of your radio and then put your radio channel to channel 1 the go back again to the website after inputting the radio id click refresh after 5 to 15 minutes turn on to the channels that you want. Make sure that your car antenna is facing under a clear view sky.

Error
68 means it is trying to connect to a bluetooth enabled cell phone. You should turn off the blue tooth pairing options under the radio options. Go through the menu and you should find it.

Radio code is specific for each and every car.
It is specific like anti theft code.
You can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in
authorized dealership. Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can
provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car.

I installed radio everything works
Double check your speaker connections. Make sure + goes to plus and - to minus (phase) and make sure all are grounded properly. Is there an amp possibly in line? If so, make sure connections are good there also make sure powered up (it happens to all of us)
