Cd player plays, but no sound comes out of speakers.
Look at the enwood. I bet you have the remote wire hooked to the blue wire insted of the blue/white wire. The blue wire goes dad when you play a cd as it is for a power antenna. The blue/white wire is your amp turn on.
Now, if you do not have a blue/whie and only blue, then obviously that circuit in the radio is bad in whch case your only other option s are either connecting it to an accesory fuse or using a toggle switch connected to power.

Unlock code
This is the only way to clear the code. You must have the remote to do this, it will not work without the remote. I work at an authorized Kenwood service center and tell you for certain that this is the only way it can be done. If you do not have a remote, you will either need to buy one or borrow one from somebody else who has a Kenwood radio. Most all Kenwood car stereo remotes will work, it does not need to be from the same model number but it must be a Kenwood car stereo remote. If you can not find a remote for this then you will need to take the radio to an authorized Kenwood service center and they will usually do it for a small fee.
The first step is the only part of this procedure that you do not use the remote.
1. During code request mode, press the Track UP key for at
least 3 seconds while holding down the AUTO key. (– – – –
will disappear)
2. Enter, “KCAR” with the remote controller as described below.
• Press the remote controller 5 key twice, and press the Track
Up key. (Enters a “K” )
• Press the remote controller 2 key three times, and press
the Track Up key. (Enters a “C” )
• Press the remote controller 2 key once, and press the Track
Up key. (Enters an “A” )
• Press the remote controller 7 key twice, and press the Track
Up key. (Enters an “R” )
3. Security function is canceled and unit sets to All-Off mode.
4. Code request mode appears if a mistake was made in entering
the numbers.

Turning on the LOUD setting
You will select the source with the SRC button that you want to make the adjustment to (tuner, cd). Press and hold the Vol knob for 1-2seconds to enter Audio Setup. Each time you press the Vol knob it will switch between different items to adjust. You are going to repeatedly press it till you come up with "Loud" you will turn the Vol knob to change that from off to on. Once you have it turned on press and hold the Vol knob again for 1-2 seconds to save and exit Sudio setup.
Info is located on pg9 of the manual under Audio Setup.

Unlock code
Ok, the instructions for entering the code are in the manual, I hope you have it, sometimes the code is also included inside the user manual. If you don't have either, you can contact kenwood to get it reset.
There should be a expert or two on this website who might be able to unlock it for you even if you have lost the code.

Sirius
Basically, this just means that the head unit is designed to be ready to have a Sirius Satellite Radio system installed. Instead of having to cut and chop wiring and the like, it's ready to just be plugged into the head unit. No need for added expense of adapters and the like just to hook the system up to your car. :)

Kenwood radio is locked
Go to your local dealership for your make of car. ask them if they do radio/cd player re-codes.. if not they should be able to put you in touch with someone who does as they use them all the time to re-code their trade in car sound systems... it usually costs about 15 quid or so...hope this helps..cheers.
