What wiring harness do I need that works 1996 Toyota Tacoma

Hello shonk_patric,

You'll have to go to Kenwood or to the audio dealer where you purchased the receiver if you do not have the harness that plugs into the back of the radio.

One vehicle specific aftermarket harness for a '96 Tacoma is the Metra 70-1761 available here at Crutchfield.

Hope this helps.

Radio plays and has sound CD player play with no sound

Blue and white wire is power antenna trigger.

Please use the solid blue wire for amplifier turn-on.

When you switch to another source other than AM/FM - that signal drops out (and the antenna lowers)

The MP228 does not have a built in crossover or dedicated mono subwoofer out... so you will need a seperate one, either standalone or built into your amplifier to cancel out frequencies above 80Hz.

There are also generic versions called "inline coil"
you wire in the positive line of each subwoofer that will filter out unwanted high frequencies.

Harrison Labs make an F-Mod (available in divverent cutoff frequencies) that is installed in the RCA line.

You can try crutchfield.com for both types - and others.

How do you remove kdc-241sa receiver from car.

actually very easy it requires two metal "keys" that are supplied with the stereo at time of purchase the keys slide in to the side of the stereo's housing once the outer beauty ring is removed. if you do not have these keys you can contact the mnanufactuer or go to a stereo shop and they should be able to help takes about 2 minutes to remove the deck. they shouldnt charge you anything.
