Camera samsung

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

When I turn my camera on all I get is it saying card locked what does that mean and how do I fix it ????

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Kid broke the battery door,

It certainly can depending on how the battery compartment is designed. If the door is just a cover to hold the battery in then tape "could" be used to serve this purpose. However, if either end of the battery is designed to come in contact with the battery then it is very possible it will no longer power on.

My camera was dropped while

This usually means the camera is broken. When it was dropped the lens mechanism most likely broke. No one repairs cameras, so your best bet is to get a new one.

The zoom on my sanyo vpc E2100 won't work at all, either in standard zoom mode or intelligent. it would work sometimes, at first. can this be fixed and would it cost very much?

From your description, it appears that the camera may have received an accidental blow, or else there is some foreign matter (sand or suchlike) in the lens mechanism. Either way, you are probably looking at professional repairs, which will be expensive, possibly prohibitively so. It may be more financially viable to replace your equipment. If you can show accidental damage has occurred, then you may be able to claim on your household insurance.

When you turn the camera on or off the lens will not zoom in or out it is stuck halfway on my sanyo camera vpc-e760

I had this same failure. It could be two things, one you bumped the lens an knocked it off the track it rides on. Easier done than you think, or the motor has failed on the lens. You can try to take it apart as I did, but you need time an small tools to do it. It took me three hours to take apart, an two hours to get back together. Dont throw it away I you can fix it. Someone could fix most likely if that is it

Sanyo VPC-S770 view screen & pictures have a rosey tint

There is only one thing I can think of. If it is not this perhaps your camera is defect. Your camera has a White balance setting. You can put it in Auto, Incand. Daylight, cloudy and Manual. Check if it is in something other than Auto. If so, put it in Auto, till you think you can improve the colours by putting it in a special setting.
