Yes it is possible with any cd changer that have RCA jacks behind the radio,
that is your case, you are goin gto install a audio sensing device, when the ipod is on the cd changer will stop,
when the ipod is off the cd changer will play 10 seconds later
this interface is only rca jacks easy to plug behind the radio and you can use any audio source, ipod mp3 sat radio
you can also buy a ipod cable

audio sensing device, it is made for sony, but will work with any rca jacks source, also cd changer must be present all the time, don't remove it

Without power. you may just have to disassemble the unit.

make sure you're using a clean, compatible disc. like not a burned disc or an mp3 disk. a sure to work disc. if it still doesnt work you can try cleaning the lazer glass with a cleaning cd you can pick up at wal mart or even the dollar store i think. if this is a no go, it sems like you'll have to replace the unit.

Is there a pin-hole on the front of the cassette? If so, insert a paper clip into the hole to manually release the cassette.

If you have a "Laser Lens Cleaner" preferrably one that has fluid, run it thru a couple times then test a clean cd. If you don't have one you can find them at just about any electronics retailer. CD/DVD/PC should be cleaned 3 or 4 times a year. If it still won't play, it needs service, they will replace the transport, on average you are looking at a 100-175 repair

Hi sounds like you have the audio out from the cd changer connected to the RCA/Phono out of the radio. double check that the output from the CD changer is going into the correct phono/rca connector regards Mark www.carradiospares.co.uk

The rca plugs can short out. Or one of the comparator that is for audio selection. Might can get away with just replacing them

Hi Greg, I'd say you have a bad audio output IC, generally this will take out the fusable resistor that feeds the output stage, you should be able to find a part number on the IC, do a pin out and check between B+ and ground pins with it in circuit and see if you see a short. I don't know if you can find a service manual for it but hopefully you wouldn't need one

Question edited for clarity and typos. The first thing with CD Ejection issues is to try a CD Cleaning Disc. It has brushes to clean the laser optics. They always fail on the low power tracking laser. When it fails self test, it ejects. also First unplug power for at least an hour, then press and hold the power/on button while plugging back in, and keep holding for another 60 seconds .
