I accessed my Freeagent goflex
Switch off and on your Freeagent, that should cause a driver to be loaded. If no change reset your Laptop. You should also upgrade to Windows 10, since WINDOWS 7 IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED.

Is it ok to defragment my 2T goflex portable hard drive?
Yes. Defragmenting simply takes the pieces of empty space on the drive and groups them together. When you delete data from a drive or it is deleted as part of a program's function (such as deleting files only needed during installation) it leaves a blank space, but files are lined up on the drive. So if the files are like so:2GB File ' 3 GB File ' 5.5 GB Free Space ' 1.5 GB File ' 4 GB Free SpaceThen defragmenting would try to rearrange the files like so:2 GB File ' 3 GB File ' 1.5 GB File ' 9.5 GB Free SpaceSo, in short, yes, it's okay to defragment your drive.

Seagate freeagent desktop 9nk2-al510
It varies depending on the operating system. You can create a Linux mint DVD and boot that without installing. It will take a moment as it is reading the OS from the DVD then see if you can see it, if so it is OK, if not something is bad or set wrong in the USB hardware system.

Seagate Service center in the philippines
You don't need a service centre.
Take the drive out the caddy and plug it into a working computer using a SATA to USB cable. If the drive is functional then you'll be able to read it. If the drive is dead then you'll need to get another drive.

External hard drive won't start up
assuming that "wont start up" means that the drive letter is not visible thru windows explorer/my computer, which is already installed and booted from an internal hard drive...
the seagate drives, often, require a patch to work with some windows installs- especially if it is larger than 3 terabytes, and occasionally, if larger than 1 terabyte. if this is the case, the patch is most easily obtained by emailing customer service.
if this is not the case, please provide more specifics as to your computer, your version of windows, and exactly what it is not doing when you say 'not starting"

Need freeagent pro driver for window 8.1
If your disk is not working with Windows 8.1 (connect it, and watch to see if there is bubble at the bottom right of your screen which says 'found new hardware', and 'searching for divers' then 'your new hardware is installed and ready to use': this will only happen the first time you connect your HDD to your computer and possibly only if you are connected to the internet)..
If your HDD isn't recognised by your computer, specifically by your computer's USB system, contact Seagate support over the problem.
