How do i connect to my router

On windows, go down to the bottom right-hand corner and look for the icon that looks like two computer screens with a red x (if not connected to anything prior to this). Right click it and a menu will appear. Click on "Connect to network". A new window should come up. Search for whatever your routers name is. Generally it will have a high signal strengh it's the closest hotspot and should a generic default name like "linksys" or "untitled". Double click it and you should be connected. If your router requires a WEP KEY (a type of encryption password), then look at your router box to find the KEY and type it in on the computer where it asks for the password.Hope this helps ;)

When I was trying to set up a Wi-Fi connection to

more then likely the wireless router will work with the DS. You'll just need to make sure you enter the settings exactly. You should just be able to put a wpa-psk key in your wireless router and on the DS.
In the computer world just because something isn't supported, doesn't mean it won't work. It just means the manufacturer won't help you make it work.

Ok my nat type is strict and i am trying to change to open

You want the NAT open for X-box ?

For X-box you will need to open some ports on the router.

Also you will need to reduce down the MTU on the router to 1365.
That will work.
for this you will need to open the router set up.

Click here for more info about x-box and router settings

Get an access point or wireless router.
Connect the AP or wireless router to your network.
Configure the AP/router to use encryption
Get a client adapter for your client device, and configure it to connect to your network.

That's it in a nutshell.

How can I see what my WEP code is?

Hello !

Usually, the code is under your router.

If not, or doesn't work, contact your provider and they would provide, or they would help you reset your password.

Hope this helps.

Instalation problem in windos 7

The Windows 7 version you have is most likely a RC (release candidate) version, it is the latest Beta version before the official release in Oct. This version do not have all the device drivers and you may be able to download a Windows 7 driver from the manufacturer's WEB site. If not, you will need to wait until it is avaiable.

Not recieving connection on Dell laptop

Hi Billy 3958,

First off you need to go to your network connections, and right click on the wireless connection and view status. Then click on the support tab, and then the details tab. This will show you what the IP configuration is. You need to have a gateway (which is your wireless router IP) and a assigned IP address for the laptop, and also a dns IP to resolve who you are. I'm going to guess that one of them are missing, perhaps the DNS? If there is any missing click on the repair button, and see if it corrects the problem. If not, then you have a bigger problem then you bargined for. You didn't mention the name or model of the router, but if the repair button doesn't do the trick, then you will need to post information on the router, so I can help you get into that to get you connected. Also, post if this router is connecting any one else to the internet, if so, then you can look at their setup and copy that manually into your laptop. If your running XP or Vista, you can click on add a new wireless connection and it will walk you through connecting you to the router.

Good Luck,

And don't forget to post the information if repair doesn't work, and don't forget to leave a rating, based on your experience with my support.

Thanks
Mark
