Sir try to check the power supply if there is a bulge up or leaky capacitor, you should remove the back cover of your unit but be sure to unplug the unit before doing some checking. The bulge up is that the top is not perfectly plat and the leaky capacitor has a wet mark at the bottom of the capacitor, This capacitor produces a low and unfiltered dc supply if you see this bad capacitor replace them with same rating and observe the polarity. Your convergence circuit has shut the set down, thats what the 2 blink error code means. You will need to install a convergence repair kit for your model that has the two ICs and associated resistors. You can get that repair kit with instructions from www.tvrepairworld.com

As long as the set doesnt shut down and have a 3 flash error code then just replacing the two STK392-110 ICs should solve the issue. However the Low ohm resistors (six 2.2 ohm resistors ) should be checked and possibly replaced with the ICs. You can get the actual convergence repair kit for your model which contains the ICs, Heat sink paste, resistors and the CD with instructions from www.tvrepairworld.com

If you have a problem with the convergence, believe me, going into the service menu and trying to correct it will only give you large headaches, DO NOT USE THR SERVICE MENU UNLESS YOU ARE A TRAINED TECH!!!! Doing so can result in a complete and total failure of this TV set. I service menu is not for any major changes in any adjustment. It is not the cure all. If your convergence all of a suddenly shifted, it is not a service menu issue. Your problem is the convergence amp IC's. Good Luck

The three blinks is indicating that the convergence circuits have shorted and have shut the set down. You will need to replace the two Ics and the 6 resistors. Here are some basic steps that will help you fixing the problem.

I'm assuming that your unit is dead set without an standby LED light and your outlet is live.1.Power cord - check the cord it might be opened (no continuity).This is due to frequent bending,pulling. 2. Power switch - check for dry joints, open contact. 3.Check the internal fuse- sometimes the fuse fail because of the power surge, replacing with new one will cure the problem, If this is the case I would advice you to use surge protector/AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator). However if the fuse blew again this is an indication that you have a shorted parts in the power supply, you may visit the link http://www.fixya.com/support/r8053361-fuse_keeps_blowing for more info. If no reaction and still the unit didn't power up then you have an open parts on the power supply.

4.If you see that the fuse is intact , don't attempt to touch anything because there some fatal components stored electricity enough to hurt you with a simple mistake only. I would advice you to look for a professional to troubleshoot the power supply. If you want to repair it yourself make sure that you have necessary tools and test instrument know safety precaution working on that section. First check bad solder joints(re-solder all cold solder), leaky electrolytic capacitor(sometimes it has bulged at the top but not all, you better have a capacitor checker), open/shorted regulator transistor/IC(mounted in heat sink), open fusible resistor (caused by shorted regulator Transistor/IC), shorted zener diode.

Also check if your unit is under warranty before opening the back panel, it will void the warranty. Avail it because the manufacturer of your unit will fix it for free or a little charge only.

Hi, Try to change settings (contrast or brightness). If that does not help replace bulb in back of TV.

i have a mitsubishi i bought a bulb from this dealer and i enstalled it now i believe that the picture isn't bright enough or is it just me? could a bulb not be bright enough that it gives a draker picture

Does the power light blink when you try to power it up again or when it shuts down? If so let me know the number of blinks and I will assist you with the error.

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

It could be. If the lamp has not been changed and the set is more than 3 years old I would change the lamp first. Even if it is not the lamp you will eventually need a new one and will have one. I have a tip at
