PT-45LC12 Problem after startup

When the lamp flashes 4 times this is what the error code means IC 2301 pin 11 has detected an LCD error which is caused by an error in the LCD power CBA. which means the lamp voltage has become more than 130 volts or less than 30 volts. Or the lamp current is more than 5 amps, or the lamp is cracked. Its one of thos 3 reasons that will make the lamp indicator blink 4 times. Hope this helps. Red spot Panasonic pt44LCX65

Thanks to this website, I got our TV fixed. YEAH!!!!!!!

Before I found this website, I called Panasonic and they told me they couldn't help me and to call my local service tech. So I did and they were going to charge me $250.00 to fix it and I had to take my TV to them. Well months went by because I just couln't afford it. Two more spots appeared and I needed this problem fixed. I turned to the internet for help and found this WONDERFUL site.

I then took all the information and called Panansonic again. This time I was on the phone well over an hour. I was very persistant and had all the facts about this being a manufacturer defect and that they were well aware of the problem and they had fixed others for free. I expected the same same service and wanted it fixed.

They switched me from department to department and finally with my persistant, I got them to agree to come out in fix it for free. They came out this with 3 days and my TV is fixed.

By the way my TV was out of warranty. I bought in 2005.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR THE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS AND ARE WILLING TO HELP OTHERS!

I turn on the power

szorehkeyhom,

If your unit is more than three years old you probably need a new bulb. Looking at it or even trying to test it with a DVM will not reveal if it is ok or not. It would be better to just replace it if it is more than 3 years old. I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4168009-change_lamp_in_dlp_projection_tv which explains where to get a quality lamp at a good price and how to do the repair.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

Not detectec new lamp. power

traviesin022,

You did not mention whether your unit is displaying a picture but from what you said I am guessing that it is displaying video. If that is the case you need to reset the lamp counter to get the light to go out. The reason for the counter is to indicate when you need to replace the lamp (before it blows out) and possibly causes damage to the projector. Therefore after replacing the lamp the counter needs reset. The procedure is straight forward and I have a tip which helps walk you through it at http://www.fixya.com/support/r6593210-procedure_reset_panasonic_tvs .

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

No picture, power light flashes green.

If you take the back cover off (and part of the front) you should be able to the cage that holds the lamp. Above that there is a small thermal fuse that occasionally goes out and causes this problem. Quick solution is to repalce with a normal 5amp fuse. Just clip it out and solder the new one in. I would use a pico fuse. Or invest in a replacement thermal fuse from a part store. Part number K5C117BC0003. Goodluck.

Lamp flickers but fails to go on fully.

Sounds like the lamp but it does depend on how old the lamp is. If it is original just change it depending on total hours of use.

Panasonic tv model pt-44lcx65

Howdy,
The problem is with the EEPROM in the TV that needs to be reprogrammed. But you need to have the proper Correction Tool (LSUQ0100).
I don't think it's available to the public. Call a Service Company, but make sure they have the “Correction Tool”.

Thanks for using FIXYA, big IRISH.

Pt456c12 wont come on blinks green at the on off light

Good Day, teagues;
It sounds like a bad lamp. Lamps normally have a 5,000-hour life. Looking at the lamp can tell you if it’s bad if it looks burnt, but not always. Your Panasonic TV is also known for having failure of the ballast, which turns the lamp on. 95% of the time it’s the lamp, trouble shooting the ballast is a little more challenging.
The lamp replacement is a very simple process; instructions are in the TV’s owner’s manual. Call the factory, they will send you the lamp to your home with complete detailed instructions.

Good Luck, Big Irish.
