When attempting to load a
i had the same issue with my ag-dv2000, a fun problem to solve without a service manual. first verify we are dealing with the same issue.first open hopper fully and apply power. you should get an f06 error(failure to close in required time), now close hopper and apply power, you should get a f07 error (failure to open in required time). if this is the case the bad part is the motor drive ic. ic 1 on the motor drive board mounted to bottom of dv mech. it is a 10 pin ic labeled xra6887. i have not located a source yet but you can confirm the chip is bad by replacing it with ic6502 on the same board. if you put the bad chip in place of ic 6502 you will ground power supply and will not have power, leave it out. it controls threading motor, not needed to verify problem. the door should work now. dont put in a tape untill you replace bad chip. if you find the panasonic part number for this part please post it. happy desoldering!

I need to convert some
You'll need a computer with Firewire, aka IEEE1394. These cables don't have an end that is specifically computer or VCR ends, but they have an A for Alpha and a B size. A style connectors are the larger ones shown in the picture below.
After the cable is connected you'll need an editing program on the computer. Windows computers can use Windows Movie Maker, Mac Can use iMovie. Once connected you'll use the capture feature to get the video onto the computer.

DV tapes will not load
the "dv sensor"is actually a mechanical lever built into the cassette
housing that moves the reel tables to match the reel spacing on mini or
full-size DV tapes. check to see if this assembly is free to move. if
it binds up, the reel tables may not move as far as they need to, and
can cause problems similar to the one you're seeing. to inspect the
mechanism, you need to remove the cassette housing. if you don't have a
service manual, get a tech to help -- it's a delicate procedure.

Panasonic deck ag dv2000 gives error code f09
Your vcr seems to use the K Mech. F04 Means that the mechanism locks unloading.
The cause of which might be the loading motor timing.
F09 means No serial clock linking IC2004, IC7005 and IC7701.
