I have a very similar problem with the same exact Panasonic sub. I went to Best Buy and Radio Shack looking for an adapter, and they basically told me that one does not exisit. Apparently, Panasonic designed the home theater system specifcally so that it could not work if any part of the entire system was ever seperated.

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as a root cause for intermittent shutdown.

If you are using a converter because you have a european unit in the US or vice versa, then the converter can not handle the current draw and may not be large enough to run this unit. This is a common problem with small converters. If not, then please indicate what converter is showing the problem as the unit itself (sc-ht930) does not have a converter.

check your regulator on your set in the power supply they are some transistors Q 407 to Q410 check them and replace them all good luck .

it is the problem of cd changer mechanism and company have 1000 reasons to blame the user.

its not that somthing is stuck it has spliped a cog setting in our workshop we push them back in with forsce this will either reset the cog or strip it but trust me there is no cheaper way a service on it will cost you around $150

This has been implemented for a number of reasons. The first one is that your multimedia system is a really smart one, therefore it is very similar to a computer (it has its own processor, its own drivers and so on). So, they mask the booting up time with a welcome message. Also, it gives the system a certain personality, making it look like more than a machine.
So, enjoy your greeting multimedia system. :)

What door? For the Optical drive tray?
It may have skipped gearing if you pushed on it to close instead of using the button.
There is an internal limit switch that is being met - so the unit thinks it is closed.
Only a professional repair/alignment will help the door close properly.

sounds like you need to surround modes. There is usually a Stereo, Dolby, DTS, "virtual surround", 4-speaker mode etc..
When you play a CD or connect to TV it likely defaults to playing stereo or virtual surround.

With real surround, almost all of the voices are coming from the center-channel speaker (normally placed closest to the TV).

Also, check to make sure the center channel is connected properly.

TIB's are notoriously rigid in their design. An EQ would go in between the source and the amplifer, typically in a Tape Monitor loop if a receiver is powering the speakers. This unit has nothing like that.

The manual implies you can record OUT to a tape deck and play it back (later) through the AUX but that does not mean you can send a signal out and get it back simultaneously as a real tape Monitor would do. Attached in the prescribed configuration, your EQ would be signal-starved as soon as you selected AUX. Dead silence would be the result.

Even if it was a true Monitor circuit, the change imparted would be to the entire program and anything down stream, including the subwoofer, would be affected.

A crossover could be used with a few high-end receivers or complete separate components and bi-amped speakers only.

Many people want to use an EQ with their modern multi-channel Digital Sound Processing gear but at best an analog 2-channel EQ (or any other processor) will only work with analog stereo sources. On most receivers, simply selecting the Tape Monitor disables all digital inputs. However, most DSP can still be employed with stereo source material and a 2-channel processor, with varying degrees of aesthetic pleasantness. Beauty is indeed in the ear of the beholder.
