Black & Decker 12v Cordless Drill/driver Bd12ps Questions & Answers
I purchased a drill and shows that a cord comes with to charge and did not get that item.
This is an easy one. Write or email the maker of your tool and word it nicely just like this: "I enjoy doing business with your company but unfortunately charging cord was not included in my most recent purchase." (Always say: " THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for solving my problem ASAP by sending a __________ cord. (Most customer service reps are monitored and encouraged to bend over backwards!) They might even include some extra stuff (tools) if you ask. Dewalt has done that for me on more than one occasion!
How do I re-charge by Black & Decker 12v cordless drill?
If it is a Ni-CD / NI-Mh battery, please fully discharged and fully charged it to prevent "Memory effect".
If it is a Li-ion battery, please charge it before you use it.
Please keep in mind that, please fully charge a battery when you store it. And, charge it again every two months.

Go online and look for B and D tool parts suppliers in your area. The problem with some cordless drills is that they are made very cheaply and parts are never thought of when the drills are sold. If the unit fails, a lot of times its a case of throw it away and buy a new drill. If you buy the same model replacement, keep the old one for spare parts.
What is the charging time for a Bd12ps
From the owner's manual:Plug the charger (6) into any standard 120 Volt 60 Hz electrical outlet and let thebattery pack charge initially for 9 hours. After the initial charge, under normal usage, your power pack should be fully charged in 3 to 6 hours.
II have a BD12Ps type
You should be able to order an replacement charger at the shop you bought the drill from. Failing that, universal chargers for 12v battery tools are available at many electrical and appliance outlets. Just make sure that the polarity of the plug is correct.
Where can I get a battery for Black & Decker Drill CD 1000?
This will be a suggestion...but for mine I bought two 18650 LiFePo4 cells (3.7V each) and replaced the original NiCd Batteries. It has been working for many years now, since the original batteries expired and stop working in 2002 (I bought the CD 1000 back in 1994!!!!!). You have to use a special charger for the new ones but they stay charged a lot more and the drill has more torque.
How to remove a chuck from Black & Decker VPX1212 drill
Open the chuck as wide as it will open and look inside to see what type of screw/bolt it uses then using the correct tool insert it into the chuck and undo the bolt/screw, usually it will have a left hand thread so to unscrew it needs to be rotated in a clockwise directions, hold the chuck tightly but dont use excessive force if this does not work then try unscrewing it in the opposite direction, at all times be firm but like I mentioned earlier dont use excessive force.
