Sir reset the lamp timer of your unit.
1 Press "Display" on the remote, followed by the 5 button, then the sound up key, and "power on". Do this while the tv is in stand by mode.
2 Then press "jump" 3 times to enter DE service menu.The tv screen will display the total lamp time hours.

USB devices cannot be connected to this TV. If you have a iPod or similar device, you can connect it using the AV output with a "3.5mm-to-yellow/white/red" analog composite cable to connect it to one of the TVs inputs.

No You cannot directly connect the PC to the TV unless there is a convertor pin from the external monitor out for the video and the earphone socket to the audio in( balance the output with an resistive network connected from the headphone pin to the RCA pin)

Symptom shows Lamp is weak in result and causing restart of TV again and again. Your TV requires new lamp as per following part number...
A1085447A* LAMP BLOCK ASSY XL-2200U
It is available in Sony Accessories Store for $200 and replacement procedure is written in instruction manual of TV.

Always buy Sony original lamp for TV and avoid aftermarket / cheap lamp for TV safety.

Try first going through color balancing setup and replacing the connection cables at the back.

If colors are still poor and picture quality is bad, then parts that must be checked are color wheel, optical group ( light engine ), and video processing circuits, like white balance etc.
If light is poor, then the ballast board powering the lamp must also be tested.
At that point you may need a technician working at the unit, unless you want to risk replacing the colour wheel without testing the rest.

Several Sony models have been recalled because of light engine factory defect. Give Sony a call telling details on the fault, depending on the model, if problem is light engine , you can get the TV fixed by Sony for free.

I gave you exact and correct lamp part number of KDF-E55A20 and explained in previous reply that there is no difference between XL-2200 and XL-2200U lamp. both are same, first on came with new TV and second one is its replacement number.

KV-36FV26 is CRT TV and has no lamp inside.

yes you have defective horizontal output! that is from the power section near at the flyback!
