THe answer to this is that when you solder those 2 chips, you didn't solder them properly. You Probably have the silver soldering substance running down and overlaping some of the pins of those mcz3001 db chips. Make sure you solder each pin individually where it's just a silver dot that does not touch any other pin of those Mcz 3001 DB chips.
I realized this after i did the same thing as you did and saw that i didn't have 3 blinks until aftr i solder those same chips. Coming here and seeing you have the same problem as i did, i went back and changed what i did.
Originaly i only had 6 blinks and likewise i changed the MCA3001 DB chips.
I decided to go back and clean up the job i did and after doing a better job, i turned the tv back on and it came on with no problem. I hope this helps and i don't check here too often but you can email me at
[email protected] if youhave any question.
Thanks again and i got the answer to change those chips from here so thank you all who took the time to post this.
I am just a regular guy who has a KV-40XBR800 and wanted to see if this would fix my problem. Becareful solder those chips. Make sure the melted soldering silver wire does not touch any other pins of the Mcz3001 db.
Thanks again.,
