It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Problem is in the secondary power supply which provides power to high-voltage and scanning sections of main board. This is called BOARD D, and has the high-voltage section, flyback transformer, and control IC on it.

Can't be fixed by user, needs service tech and new part, around $300

you must test the power supply the following with DVOM OR VOM:
LINE CORD+FUSE+C.BREAKER+RECTIFIER+FILTER+SWITCH+DIODE, TUBE, AND ANY WIRES CONNECTOR LOOSE OR DRY JOINT, RESOLDER OR REPLACE.

To make sure, you have to download the service manual to both models. Ask the service man to do this. Then he can compare both schematics, and make sure about the compactablilty.

Check its "Pin-cushion" section circuit for the fault. An IC is used there to control the pin cushion distortion. If this IC has got faulty, this type of fault can occur. This is actually a skilled work. If you are not ahndy, seek any technicians' support.

Seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits.
You must have through knowledge in electronics to proceed. This is a very skilled wor. You must have all measuring instruments, and ability to follow its schematic diagram.
