Does this have a replacable lamp? If so it will do exactly this. If it does it's probably fried.

Same exact thing happened to my 27" Trinitron purchased in 1998. I tried all the rudamentary stuff that Sony had on their esupport page, but nothing worked. In our case, it went out while my daughter was watching it. I think the time has come to scrap it, and consider a different television, and I don't think I'll go with Sony this time. I hope the rest of you have better luck.

IF THE REMOTE HAS BEEN DROPPED, THERE IS A CCHANCE THE CRYSTAL CONTROLLING THE FREQUENCY HAS BEEN DAMAGED. check your pwd supply's Transistor or Mosfet
or Check your Horizonetal Transistor or Mosfet may be it is damaged
If it is damaged replace it

This is a pwd supply Transistor or Mosfet problem replaceit

Might need a tuner, I suspect if you arent seeing any snow/static you probably need to press the tv/video button untill you get the ANT input.

Try reset .

Unplug the unit from power chord for 30 minutes and plug back the power chord to the unit .
This will reset your unit .

The single horizontal line is a problem with the vertical circuit. Look for a small flat id attached to a heatsink that should be marked LA7837 or something similar. Try resoldering the pins of this IC first. If that does not resolve it, replace the IC.

YOU CAN EITHER SWITCH YOUR CABLES ARE CALL UR CABLE PROVIDER AND IF U HAVE SATTELITE THAN IT COULD MOST LIKELY BE UR CABLE ON THE REAR OF UR HOUSE WHERE UR BOX IS ARE THE CABLE IN SIDE THE DISH. MAYBE EVEN U DIDNT SWITCH THE LINE BACK TO CABLE TRY SOME OF THESE THINGS THEN U CAN SEND ANOTHER MESSAGE IF IT WORKS ARE NOT LETTING US KNOW WAT HAPPENED THANK U

Hi, Not sure whether you are kidding or not. You don't mention the tv model so I will try to help using a KV-32FS100 as an example. You really only have 2 choices assuming you have a current model xbox 360. The component cable that comes with the xbox has 6 connectors, a green, blue, red, yellow on one part and a white and red on the other part. On the back of the tv below and to the right of the s video connector are inputs labeled Y, Pb and Pr and are colored Y is green Pb is Blue and Pr is red if they aren't colored that is the correct order. Don't connect the yellow to anything. The red and white on the other part of the cable go directly to the right of these connections. It will say audio and L and R they should also be colored but if not white is L and red is R. There is also a small switch at the xbox end of the cablewhich you need to slide to HDTV. Once you are powered up don't forget to enter the setup menu on the xbox and select the settings for your tv. Again without knowing the model most wega tvs limit the component input to 480p which was the limit of a dvd. I hope this is helps.

Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit, check T603 and R672.

try unpluging tv for 2mins and see if that works

Hi, tubes getting tired, band-aid fix you can do is remove back of set and turn up(clockwise) the screen control( small black plastic control mounted on side of flyback transformer, do not turn the knob marked focus) until you see a whole bunch of white lines across the screen, then turn same control counter-clockwise until all the lines go away, try several different channels to be sure all the retrace lines are gone, you`ll get up to 1 year more use out of it, than she`s done, good luck, BMW Rider

LINE DRIVE FAULT, YOU NEED A TV TECH TO LOOK AT IT. LIGHTS ON THE FRONT FLASHING IS A BREAK DOWN CODE. UNIT HAS GONE INTO FAULT PROTECT MODE.

Sony carry spares for 15 years. The question is, do you want to keep it, or buy a nice new LCD widescreen one .

replace the lamp

It is repairable.Open the TV and check the fuse and then the flyback transformer for any loose soldering. check for obvious burnt transisters, resistors, capacitors etc. the flyback is the component that has a wire to the picture screen on the inside of the TV. Be careful. Capacitors and picture tubes retain high current. If you don't know what your doing take it for repair.

In the set up screen: Video reset ports and activated them individually to allow the TV to recognize the game and the DVD players...
