Very old set and if red power light stays on and does not blink about a dozen different possible reasons----many parts no longer available for this set----I would retire it and buy a new set.

The DLP tv alway have problems with it convergence board problems.Tries flash focus button or manual + - convergence R,G,B colors lines alignments up.Still have the same problems,the convergence board is dead or have problems,convergence board must be fix to solved the green haze problems.

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.
This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.

Common Symptoms include....
•Screen looks 3D
•Colors don't line up
•One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
•Screen is bowed or warped.
•TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.

You need a new projector bulb. Google up your model and buy the best warranteed one you can find. Buy a "caged assembly" and not just a bare bulb.

Then unplug your tv and get a screwdriver. Follow your model's instructions and just snug down the electrical screws. Do not overtighten them.

Then consult your manual on how to reset the lamp timer so it knows you put a new bulb in and fires up from the first try.

Treat yourself because you've just saved yourself a trip from a repairman!!

If colors are separated at once with out any thing doing with tv then most likely its due to convergence out chips failure problem and tv would show 3D look picture and usually arched or bend picture on sides of screen.

Please replace convergence out chips in tv to get it fixed. If you are not comfortable with working in tv like replacing parts in circuit board with appropriate tools then ask local tv tech to fix it.

Flash Focus does not work when convergence out chip got defective, replacement of convergence out chip will solve your TV flash focus picture and will align colors.
Question post shows it is Sony KP-43T75 rear projection TV that has STK394-160 IC (two ICs) as convergence out chip that is available in Part Store for $36
Let me know if you want to repair TV by yourself to provide you more technical info, please note that above chips replacement in circuit board requires soldering work with proper tools. Or call local TV tech to fix it.

your users manual should tell you if it is a pal and ntsc system it will, thay do make ntsc to PAL convershiom box cost about $139

Blink code only goes to 8 on this model. Are you sure its not 5 and 6? That would be AKB and Horizontal stop, respectively. Quite likely a flyback transformer on this model.

Sony does not have 11 blink code it only goes to 10 blinks. You can Try self-Diagnostic mode- Press---- display,5,vol- then power when set comes up it should have codes telling you which circuit has problem.

chances are your close captioning has been turned on go into cutomer menu setup and see if it on.
