sounds like cold solder problem u may have damage other parts by not adressind it sonner solution take apart look for bad connectins black spots on green board pay closr att 2 fly back joints. if no luck check volt in psupply etc

Sony TVs has an Optical Block issue. If there is an issue with the optical block, then there will be green, blue patches or tint on the TV display. Try resetting the TV to the factory settings and try Power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue still persists, then TV may require service. You can contact the Customer relations team and check for the available options. Sony had repaired free of cost for such issues. Hence, contact the customer relations.

Sounds like the one of the bulbs has gone.

Remote sensor/ receiver mounted at tv front sounds defective and unable to sense/ receive remote signals.
Replace infrared remote sensor in tv to fix the issue.

You need a light engine. I do not remember if your model is still under Sony's recall. You might want to call them.

unplug all cords and cables from tv, then unplug tv, wait about 5 min, plug tv back in this resets, the "brain" if samething ....see if your bulb is glowing, or tv is hot to touch...always clean the breather slots or holes so fan can push or pull cool air..most of these tvs have a auto shut off for safety if fan has faulted out.....you might just have a DONE fan unit.

Sounds to me like you have a bad light engine. Very common problem. Best to call Sony and find out what to do next. Light engines can be rebuilt but very expensive and not guaranteed to last for very long. Most people who have had this problem with this type tv decided to replace the set rather than spending more to repair a common failure. Sorry for the bad news, Russmann.

That depends on whether you have moved to a place that has high humidity Electronic items are designed differently for different countries. Eg a TV for Australian conditions will be affected if it is moved to Singapore.

Otherwise its should be ok.

You have a bad optical engine. Not worth repairing. Only option you have is to contact Sony directly and see if they will help with repairing or offer a discounted replacement. This model was part of a class action lawsuit. Go here and read...

REPLACE LAMP !!!
Buy an Orginal Replacement Lamp.

Three flashes indicates either the lamp is not seated correctly or the lamp door is not on properly. I bet its the later of the 2 as THE most common issue is the lamp door has warped because of excess heat building up in the lamp cage. If this is the case follow the link I am providing as you are in luck as Sony is paying for those repairs. Please take a moment to rate my answer...Thanks

Hi , it seems you are experimenting a light engine problem.Here's how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together.When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, pixilation even vertical lines.You will need to replace the light engine. Have a blessed one!
