Erase old videos

Ideally, you'll get a high-powered bulk tape eraser that is designed for video tapes and will work perfectly for audio tapes, as well. An audio tape eraser will work to a point, but usually won't blank them out completely since it doesn't put out a strong enough electromagnetic field to erase videotapes completely. I personally own an old Radio Shack high powered eraser and it works to erase both video and audio, as well as a demagnetizer for old color tv screens (when used at a distance...a bit too strong up close), and demagnetizing screwdrivers (the ones I don't want magnetized, that is). Hope that helps.

I have a Sony Home Theatre System DAV-DZ370.The

Hi, I believe I know the problem having attempted to fix no less that a few dozen dvd players with similar problems. I would first try to clean the laser head with a dvd lens cleaner ( the kind with auto play and the little brushes actually on the disc.) Occasionally there may be foreign material partially obstructing the path of the laser beam causing playback for audio but not all dvd's-If that does not work I would say the dvd system has reached near the end of its life cycle ( this can be as little as a yr depending on how many total hours played and the manufacturer.) it can be the laser has gotten a little weak but more often than not the video digital to analogue has over heated just one to many times and is now on the fritz. I have never successfully repaired a dvd player that played music but not movies ( they're too cheap to buy these days to put so much effort into unfortunately-although as I said dirt can't be ruled out-I really had a game console that somehow had a dusty lens.) I hope this was of some use, thank you for choosing FixYa, write back to let us know if this helped or if we can be of further assistance, good luck-Prodzilla

Is it possible to transfer photos from Sony memory stick pro duo to iPad without using a computer. If so can I do this via a card reader?

The only problem is finding the right adapter to use with the iPad. It has a reader you can purchase but they don't fit. I think your going to need a computer to transfer.

I have a Sony avd k 800p it works fine until it

It is most likely full of dust build up. Make sure the vents on the back, sides, top or bottom are not block by dirt. Any electronic device will malfunction when hot. These machines have a heat snyc. If you feel comfortable taking the screws out and blowing out the dust on the inside, it should work much better.

How to remove write protection from sony memory stick pro duo

There should be a small plastic catch on the side of the card which allows you to write protect the memory stick pro duo. It should have an image of a lock or say locked next to it, if it is locked you won't be able to write to it. Slide it to the unlocked position using a fingernail or a paperclip.

How do I fix my usb flash drive?

You are out of luck. You MIGHT get a repair tech to solder a new usb connector on it but I don't hold much hope for that. The connector is twisted because you twisted it.

Sd card error for NV-GX7

If you recently put in a new SD card, there can be a compatibility problem. In your camera only MMC and SC cards will work. These days most new cards are SDHC. Even the 1 and 2 Gbyte cards now are SDHC. Look careful on the card. As soon as you see SDHC, replace the card. Also make sure the lock switch is up, pointing towards the contacts. It is not really a switch, but the little nob. will engage a switch in the camera, telling the camera it should not write to the card.
