There is a safety cutout on the evaporator that sometimes goes open circuit, stopping the heater coming on in defrost.If the compressor will not turn off, check the condenser is clean.and the fan working. next check the thermostat hasn't broken. Lastly, check the defrost timer.

This can be due to poor mounting of teh compressor. If the freezer is old then the mounting bushes can be worn out and must be replaced. Also check on the mounting bolts as if these are loosely fitted the compressor will ******** moe specially when the motor stops due to the force.

Depends on how technical you want to get. Generally, measure the ambient temp of air entering the condenser coil. Add 30 degrees to that temp and convert to psi using a P/T chart. This will get you to a starting point.Remember, charging a "Hot" box takes time. Don't over charge.

did you start it up right after you moved it?if so you may have damaged the compressor from liquid being in the compressor ,when you move a refrigerator or freezer or anything with freon/refrigerant in it it should be allowed to sit in its operating position for a time to allow the freon to settle

Also an refrigeration appliance technician would know the wiring by heart and take 20 minutes maximum to work it out.

Is it on Economy Mode? That only chills the bottom area. Check the condenser fins are cleaned of dust. That needs doing every 6 months. Or it needs refrigerant gas. ..
