Intermittent Connectivity:
NOTE: Before following the steps in this article, check if your wireless computers have stable connection when connected to other wireless networks (hotspots).
This article assumes that all wireless computers are experiencing intermittent wireless connection with the router.
Frequent wireless disconnection can be caused by different factors such as:

1. Wireless interference within the network.
2. Wireless settings of the router are still set to default.
3. Firmware is corrupted.

Reducing Wireless Interference
If you are experiencing frequent disconnection from the wireless network, it helps if you check the following factors, all of which can greatly affect your wireless signals:
your cordless telephone system (or even your neighbors’), or other nearby equipment. Try to change your router’s channel to 1 or 11 (the default channel is 6) and restart the wireless computers.
Physical obstructions: Your router or wireless computers may be losing connectivity because of physical obstacles such as walls and floors. Try to move the equipment to different locations to find a better link.

• Placement of the router: place your router as high off the ground as possible. When placing the router in a high location, leave a distance of two feet between the router antenna tips, ceiling, and wall. If your signal passes through multiple floors, place the router on the upper-most floor, and high up in the room.
• Surroundings: Keep the router away from large metal objects, bodies of water (fish tanks, bathrooms), and any electrical equipment including television sets, microwaves, radios, etc.

go to the router page in that port forwarding option is there type your port number and ip address then you get it which port number of the game port number after then save it then reboot it then try you get it

On the left side there is a menu called Advanced Setup. After you click on that button you must select on the main panel view the Security button. There you will find the settings for the wireless connection and the MAC filter option also.

Open a web browser like internet explorer or firefox. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.1.1. You should see a box prompting you for your username and password.

Enter your username and password now. By default the username is admin, and the password is 1234. Click the Ok button to log in to your router

Click on wireless setup and you should have options there to change the security settings and setup a WEP key(password).

once you do this.
click on start
click on run
type ncpa.cpl
right-click wireless local area connection
click on view available wireless networks
and connect to your network again using the new password that you have just setup

You will need to access your router and configure your wireless settings. If you are uncertain about the password/username to access the router 0 then you might find it on label at the backside of the router.

Failing this - the favourite combinations are :

Username admin

Password admin

or sustitute "password" (without the quotes) as the password. If that does not work then you could "google" the question.

If the modem your talking about is the ZyXEL Prestige 623R-T1 ( that i believe is supplied with iol ), follow the reset sequence below ! 10. How to use the Reset button? Step 1: -------- Make sure the PWR led is on(not blinking)when you begin this procedure. Press the RESET button for ten seconds (or until the SYS LED starts blinking), then release it. If the SYS LED blinks, the defaults have been restored and Prestige restart. Otherwise, go to step 2. Step 2: ------- Turn the P623R-A1 off. While pressing the RESET button, turn the Prestige on. Continue to hold the RESET button. The PWR LED will begin to blink and flicker very quickly after about 10 seconds. This indicates that the defaults have been restored and the P623R-A1 is now restarting.
