for this you will need to open the router set up.
make sure that you will connect the router to the computer with the cable.
Once you connect the computer , check the IP address of the computer .
open the set up page using the default gateway number.

Se puede cunfiguar el router sin el cd, para ello debes tipear la direccion the IP del router, la original es 192.168.1.1 el password deberia ser 1234, a menos que lo hayas cambiado.

If you forgot the WPA key and the password to log on to your router the only way to correct this is to reset the router by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds and then after that you need to reconfigure it back....

Read the Quick Setup Guide that came with the router,
either on paper, or on the supplied CD-ROM.

Is it an ADSL router?? Probably it be with connection to the phone line. The only soultion their is to call your ISP

To secure youe wireless router, follow these instructions : -
1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable.
2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL
3. Enter the router setup, login and password
4. Change the admin password
5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA).
7. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.
10. Remove the LAN cable between the router and the computer then the computers should be able to connect to the router.

HI! I bliv u are having some issue setting up ur router.. I will be more than glad to assist u. . here are the steps u need to do:
1. press the reset button on the back of the router for 20sec..while pressing the reset button, unplug the power plug and after 2secs while pressing the reset button plug it back in and press for 30secs after that unplug the router for 15secs then plug it back in..once all the lights are solid and ok
2. connect the ethernet cable to port1 of the router and the other end to the lan port of your computer..
3. pull up ur browser then type at the url:192.168.1.1.or 192.168.0.1 or u can check the routers default gateway by right clicking the network icon on the lower right of your task bar and click on status and it will show the ip address of the computer, subnetmask and default gateway, the default gateway is the routers ip address, once u type in to the url, it will ask u the username and password, by default the username is admin and the password is 1234 or just leave it blank
4. it will show the setup page of the router. u can set the router on the specific internet setup that u have.
a. if ur isp is a cable company, normaly u need to do a mac clone on the router setup page by cloning the computer that is reg to the cable company, how to determine it. ex. the computer that is reg to the cable company is a desktop or laptop, if this computer is connected to the modem directly and u can access internet.
b. once u determined it u need to connect this computer directly to the router and do a mac clone and set ur internet settings to auto-dhcp..then save the settings and after that, unplug to the power of the modem and router, plug in 1st the power of the modem then once all lights lit, plug in the router, then once all lights lit, try to pull up a browser that ur computer is connected directly to the router.. ur cable connection shud be, cable from the modem will go to the WAN port of the router and connect ethernet cable on port1 going to the lan port of the computer..once u can access the internet, u can now access again the setup page of the router by typing at the url:192.168.1.1 and u can setup the wireless settings, u need to create a ssid or wireless name and a security..
5. If ur isp is a dsl normaly they give u a username and password to connect to the internet, ur settings on the router should be PPPoe
6. If ur isp gives u a static ip address settings, u need to set the router to isp setup.
a. how to check the isp of the isp given to u..
1. click on start
2. run
3. type cmd
4. it will show a dos prompt
5. from the dos prompt type ipconfig/all
6. it will list the ip address, subnet, default gateway, dns server
this settings should be type in to the settings on the router for static ip addressing..
7. Once your done on the internet setting, go to your wireless connection settings and you can create a wireless network name or ssid, set a security by selecting wep, wpa, wpa2.
8. once all is set. save the settings and to check if your laptop can access the wireless network that you did, turn on the wireless switch of your laptop, once its on, it will show the wireless network icon on the lower right of the taskbar, right click it and select on view available network, the network name that u did should list, just select it and connect and it will ask for the password, just type the password and connect, you should be connected to the wireless network and have internet access..
9. If you are going to hook up your desktop to the wireless connection, you need to install a wireless network adapter, install the driver and do the same thing as u did to the laptop, for the desktop no need of turning on the wireless switch, once you install the driver correctly, it will show a network icon..

there is a little reset hole on the back of your router.
stick a pin inside and hold it about 15-20 seconds, until you see all network led's going black
then it's in factory reset mode - and you need to reconfigure it


or ... if you know a access password to your router you can log in to the box and see what your wifi password is

login to your router and set the security key in Wireless Security section. The same key should be used by your computer wifi adaptor to access the router again.

You can install/secure/encrypt your wireless network by login to your Router.

First login to your wireless Router. Refer the User Guide to get the exact steps to login to the wireless Router.

In gereral, 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 is the default Router login address. The defult username will be 'admin' and pasword will 'password'.

Go to the Wireless settings option in the Wireless Router configuration and enter/add the wireless password/passkey.

My MTU is at 1500 and I get the same message. I don't think XBL is up yet.

You can simply reset the device to factory defaults. There's a reset button at the back of it. Hold it down for 30 second with the power on. That will reset the unit back to router function.

You need to access the settings page for Zyxel. In your comp, open a browser, and type http://192.168.1.1 You'll get a username password prompt Type in "admin" as username and "1234" as password It's the default for zyxel routers Choose NAT in advanced settings, Make sure SUI only is clicked, Now click apply Wait, it's not over yet Click edit details Add 88 (as both start and end) and 3074 (same, but use another line in that table) Now save it. Please explain:
Does it work if you use http://localhost?
Does it work if you use http://127.0.0.1?
If the first one does not, but the second does, it is possible that the issue can fixed simply by selecting.
IE-->Tools-->Options--> Connection --> LAN Settings Check Bypass Proxy for local addresses

If you can't telnet into your computer, make sure you have the Telnet service running :
