My sony STR-DE345 amp says "protect" and there is

The manual says it thinks there is a short circuit on the amplifier output side. If it still says Protect after disconnncting all the speakers wires there is an internal problem. Take it to a hands-on tech.

If the problem disappears, you had a short. Attach speakers one at a time to isolate the cause.

Reciever not working

Are all the speakers GOOD and all connected right?
If so then you have at least one blown output amplifier module.

My unit powers up and then goes to protect, why?

This usually means there is a short in the amp section. It needs to be looked at by a pro.

No sound. It flashes protect.

Your device has went into protection mode, an internal malfunction causes it to shut down in order to protect itself.Somtimes a physical reset will help.Turn of and unplug device fro a couple of hours Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jason_77a19afa8d604dee

Loud buzzing sound in the

The buzzing is caused by the power source of the receiver : the filtering capacitors from the power lines to the amplifier circuits have aged and have started to dry, lose their capacity so the current is no longer filtered correctly so the ripple from the AC mains is stronger and it's passed on to the amplifiers where it became audible.
Keeping the capacitors under constant tension will help them regenerate somewhat, but you will have in the end to replace them. A simple job, just be careful at the ratings of the capacitors when you get their replacements.

My STR-DE345 has no sound from the center channel,

The center channel on this model uses its own amplifier circuit that is independent from the others. It is usually a 5-9 pin IC attached to the heatsink. It is likely that this IC is defective and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, I can not know this for sure without taking measurements inside the unit. There is no simple fix for this although this is an easy repair for a service shop. Please seek professional assistance to resolve this. Expect a parts cost in the $25 range.

My fuse keeps blowing, what

May be a number of things...the power supply may have a shorted component in it...or the audio output stage may be defective...if you can obtain a volt/ohm meter you can test the power supply diodes and the regulator/audio output transistors...you will need to use the diode check function or the ohm scale to check these semiconductors...they should read infinity in one direction and , on diode test, anywhere from 500-700 for silicon(which is what is used today)..on the ohms scale you should read 500-2000 ohms in one direction and infinity in the other...if you get a 0 reading on any of the semiconductors..then it is shorted and will need to be replaced
