if you mean that you no longer have administrator access to your computer because you forgot the windows logon password this is easily reset - have a look at the windows offline password editor which is freely available - your best bet is to search for Hirens boot CD which you need to download and burn to either a cd or a usb stick. Hirens boot cd contains loads of useful tools including the offline password editor.

If you are running XP, right click on my computer and click properties. Then click the hardware tab and click device manager. If the driver is missing, you should see an exclamation mark on the webcam, if it is even listed. If it is not listed, go to the manufacturer site and go through their downloads to get he driver. Should be all here is to it.

two questions to ask first 1)is it Ni Cadium? or 2) Is it lithium Ion ?alkaline and NiCadium batteries have discrepnacies when being recharged all the time they just last for ever. Lithium on the other hand sometimes has to shocked jumped when near 0 voltage to collect a recharge. the connections on a lot of baterries may be so smooth that contact is at fault as well . new batteries are not cheap but is something we all do from time to time.

Hi Dana,Oh dear, you say the laptop got dropped... depending, how hard a knock it took, but the fact you state it doesn't recognise your hard drive(s), you may have other internal hardware issues.My best advice is for you to take it to your local PC shop/doctor, so they can find out whether or not, it is salvageable, for a small outlay.If it's serious, and costly to fix, then a new or replacement laptop is the only alternative. PC shops usually sell NEW & Refurbished units, so, that gives you another option.Until you have it checked out by a PC technician, you won't know the extent of the damage done.PC's & Laptops, don't take kindly to bumps and knocks at all.I hope this answer helps you find the solution.Best regards,Peter

Hello Bigluff, Hi, most likely you have a corrupted Hard Drive, This need to be reformatted, Now if you have important files on it, You need a technician to remove the hard drive out of the Aspire, once removed, place the hard drive on a PC to recover all your important documents, this should be done the first time, immediately back up the files. Once backed up, you may now proceed to reformatting the drive.

Kevin, it seems like the keyboard is bad on your laptop. If it has an extended warranty you should take it in for repair.Did something spill on it recently or did it fall? Sometimes bumps or falls can cause connections to become loose and malfunction. To gain access to your computer you can try a usb keyboard.

MS offers a free and legal image of Windows 7 at My Digital life dot com. You must own and have a working MS Product Key sticker with Win 7 on your computer. Plus the version must match your sticker in order for the key to work. Look for the correct image!Download. Burn ISO to make bootable install disk and reinstall. GL
