Lanquage change is on page 78 and 79 of the manual. You can select English, French or German.

Switch on your camera press the Menu button scroll through to "Set up" scroll on the "Language" Highlight language and choose the language you want, select OK to save.

The language setting is on Page 11.

Press MENU/OK to open the menu. Use the up/down-arrows to navigate to Setup (it should be the last item, marked SET) and press right-arrow. Use the right/left arrows to select Setup2 (the wrench with the digit 2) and press down-arrow. Use the up/down arrows to navigate to an entry marked with LANG and press right-arrow. Select "English" and press MENU/OK to confirm.

Use the button next to the zoom button to cycle between flashmodes.
You can change language in the Set-up menu.
English, french or german is available.

Here is the instruction from the manual:

You can change the language in the setup menu.

Battery must be ok. Check the switch contacts. Battery contacts.

CCD problem. dont use flash mode in outdoor shoot. ur CCD is week .u can send for serv.

At this age such a fault will not be an economic repair option. Time for the next Camera

camera will not take a picture, black screen when turned on 

First try to take photo in a sunlight, if the photo is still hazy then clean the lense and make sure you dont put your finter anywhere in front of the camera.

If the photo is still hazy then it could in internal camera fault.

If the photo is fine in the sun but its blurry in the dark then take photo with flash if thats ok then you just need more lighting.

Also make sure the ISO Rating is auto or 100 many people set ISO to 800 and then forget about it. It causes hazy photos in the dark

Connect the camera
Turn it on
Open (my) computer
Look for a hard drive which wasn’t there before
double click it
Inside there will be several folders
One of them has your pics in it
Copy and paste them to wherever you want

A manufacturing fault- contact the Fuji support line for instruction to return the camera for replacement

Had a similar problem once. Fixed it by opening the camera and freeing up the lens cover.
1)Undo 2 screws each side and the base (6 in all) ignore the one on the front edge of the base for now.
2)Separate the base from the case (gently!) don't pull them too far apart, because they're joined by ribbon cables.
3)Then remove the long screw you ignored above, and again carefully separate the front panel.from the body.
4) At this point, you should be able to access the back of the lens cover, and free up the mechanism.

Once that' s done, put it back together, reversing the above sequence. Don't force anything, just make sure they're all lined up and fit before inserting the screws.
