Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Are you check ISO setting are these taken on? Noise is when the ISO is turned up too much. I had a look on DPreview for you camera, but couldn't find it. Looking at this one ISO Sensitivity / Noise levels I'd say anything over ISO400 is "too much" in this case.

Could be a slow shutter speed. Try using a hard mount of some sort. Steady your camera against something solid like a table or a wall.

If the problem isnt solved, could be some CCD wrong; when a picture is taken, the CCD is struck by light coming through the camera's lens. Each of the thousands or millions of tiny pixels that make up the CCD convert this light into electrons. The number of electrons, usually described as the pixel's accumulated charge, is measured, then converted to a digital value. This last step occurs outside the CCD, in a camera component called an analog-to-digital converter.

In order to correct this issue, the repair facility needs to replace the CCD. This is not something you may do on your own; check this article for additional details: Bad CCDs. This, isn't a good new, but hope helps to solve it.

Hi.

Take pictures, then try downloading the pictures onto a computer. If the haze and lines appear in the picture, the faulty part is the CCD image sensor located inside the camera behind the lens. If the lines do not appear the problem is the LCD display unit or the cable to LCD.
Diagnosing the problem will help you to get a more accurate quote on repair.

I have had the same problem with my F-700

After calling Fujifilm Custom support here in Spain, I've noticed that camera series had a common failure at CCD SENSOR, NOT THE SCREEN.

IF THE PROBLEM IS CCD (IMAGE SENSOR) FUJIFILM WILL REPAIR IT FOR FREE!!!!

EVEN IF GUARENTEE IS OVER

I AM NOT KIDDING. I'RECEIVED A MAIL FROM FUJI SPAIN ABOUT THAT

ALSO CHECKED THAT AT FUJIFILM USA THEY REPAIR IT FOR FREE

I guess the problem is CCD (at least in mine) because:

1- Started with intermitent colour distorsions (dissapearing from time to time)
2- The problem became more frequent as time passed by
3- THE IMAGE IS PERFECT WHEN I PLAY PICTURES FROM THE MEMORY CARD

GOOD LUCK !

Regards,
Ron

You should be able to goto any camera store, and they should have it as accessories. If not you can always go on www.ebay.com and search for finepix f700 adapter.

That depends on the cause of malfunction. If the lens shaft is broken, there is little you can do. Anything mechanical is hard to fix. What you can do is carefully open up the camera and see if there are any leads or wires fractured, and if there are solder them back together.

There are many electronic repair shops which could fix the camera for you for a small price, if possible.

This post is 10 months old I hope you have solved the problem, if not what I first expect is the memory card is full and the camera has defaulted to internal memory and it is also full. I would suggest downloading your pictures to the computer

yours is a broken CCD-chip - like ours.

hardly any good-used for the F700/710/810 avail anywhere

another new (used) camera is my best advice - repairing a busted CCD aint worth your time / money / efforts.

Try to clean the lense with a soft cloth. But before you wipe it, breathe out through your mouth into it to create a thin film mist then wipe it.
