Dvd player does not play
Does it read other CD's. If yes:
I would start off by thinking you just don't have software (codecs) to play the DVD
Try downloading VLC player. Look it up in google.

well! in that case your restore point have been corrupted of certain virus,you can't make any date to restore on that situation,if ever you select a date and no respond keep telling to start,there a file corrupted,if you can use your recovery console or repair your system from installation cd do it.If good if you reinstall a new system of windows your problem was solved.if you can go to save mode and save first your important document to a
usb flush drive or cd,and reinstall a new system.hope this solve your problem.regads
New batteries in but camera
What kind of camera is it? could you post its brand and model? have you tried connecting it to the computer, any life out of it?
Boot mgr missing
Have you tried hitting F8 while powering the unit up and selecting "last known configuration"?
If that did not work, do a repair. I am assuming this is XP:
XP repair
When you boot with the Win XP install CD-ROM, it loads a minimal operating system, similar to DOS, but compatible with Win XP. At the first screen you select install Win XP (not Recovery Console) and at the next screen it will find that you already have Win XP and offer to attempt a repair. This repair should not touch your Applications or data; it just reinstalls the Windows files. This is great because when it works you don't need to reinstall all your software.

How do I burn a DVD of a file on my PC desktop?
use cd writing software like nero or ashampoo
ashampoo is a light version
you can use inbuilt writer software if you are using vista and higher
just drag the file to your drive in xp or higher to burn the disk
My computer has an email worm and am unsure about fixing it.
What this will do is reset your computer back to factory defaults like you had just got it out of the box.
This would fix the problem for sure.
Of course you could also go here as well and download the win32.brontok removal tool.

This program will remove any instance of the worm on your computer and get rid of it.
This way you won't have to restore your computer back to factory defaults.
Reboot to factory settings without disc
Can you still log in to Windows Vista?
e machine has a RECOVERY MANAGEMENT allows you to restore sytem to factory default or reboot and tap F10 and follow instructions.

CPU power problem
Check whether all connection are good and take out any CDs in the tray. I guess this must be a SMPS problem.
E-machine won't restore
it sounds like the disk is damaged or something of that sort. what you most likely need to do is either get a new set of restore disks and try it or get a windows disk and run the operation manually.
Windows XP operating system does not load.
You need to repair your windows xp installation.
Insert the xp install cd and power off - then power on your pc.
If the screen says "press any key to boot from cd" then do that.
It takes a while until you get to choose options.
Choose the repair previous installation option by pressing the R key when prompted.
Follow the instructions on the screen and you should be fine.
Update
Since the T2958 doesn't come with a DVD drive capable of burning you would have to buy another one capable of burning and install this into your machine.
So the answer is yes, you can upgrade your drive.
