Ok! i need help with
Check to see if unit works with other disks. If it works fine then it is definitely a software issue that is preventing playback of your disk.
Install VLC freeware and see if that plays it back.

Dear Cedrich,
I found an "unofficial" e-machines website for you: http://www.e4allupgraders.info/
And the following is a link to your Ethernet driver:
http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir3/files/drivers/lan/AU31_Ethernet_xp2k.zip
Here is the page for your particular model:

Restore emachine without disk
All the Emachine's I worked with have a Restore Partition .... might try that first.... after the boot screen hit the F8 key and look for an option called Directory Restore Service.... if you still want the Ethernet Controller Driver try a program called Unknown Device Identifier you can find it on download.com it can help you find the manufacturer and model for your devices ...might be a good start
I've been trying to get
Go to Microsoft.com./downloads. You want the ESSENTIAL CODEC PACK. Follow the instructions.
My emachine Has a disk
may be you problem is not that but be sure to enter set up bios configuration an check if hard drive is detected if not choose auto and save and exit bios then let it boot normally...it might help!
My emachines t3256 is running
Hello,
This is not necessarily a problem. The computer will utilize the cpu when it needs to, meaning, you are not putting much of a burden on the cpu if it is only running at 1GHZ. When you start to do more task, run more programs etc, you will see the CPU utilization increase!
I hope this is informative.

Hi, i hope you can
Restart the computer, when you see the Emachine logo, tap F8
go to safe mode
Once in safe mode, go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools system restore
restore to 1 week previous that you downloaded the malware. The software that you are getting hit with is a virus itself called "Hijack Ware"- it basically holds your system hostage.
Now after that is done, go to a site like Avast! or AVG and install an antivirus (Both of those are free and reputable. I prefer Avast!)
Don't click and don't believe crud like those popups ever again. I’m happy to help further over the phone at

Why wont my dvd drive
I suggest that you clean it first using some soft of air blower, maybe there is something stuck in there. just make sure the computer is not switched on.
One more thing, take the driver out of the the boot sequence from BIOS if the noise happens when the computer starts up.
Also, check with the manufacturer if it is still under warranty. Sometimes if you have used a shatter, it could damage the drive gears.
If it is too old, perhaps you would want to replace it with a new one because maybe there is drive failure that cannot be fixed.
I cannot access my internet
I HAVE HEARD U R PROBLEM just go to mozilla firefox and downlad ie8 if u dont have net connection then click on start button and select set program acess and default and click microsoft
Will not open....stalling at welcome....is this a
No, it's a software problem, most likely the chipset driver is corrupted. If you're lucky the cause of the corruption hasn't destroyed any other file and in that case you will be able to boot in Safe Mode - in there update all your drivers.
If you fail to load into Safe Mode then the damage is to great - your last hope to avoid a full reinstall and lose everything in the process is to perform a Repair: boot from cd and skip the first Press R for repair and go the setup and after you press F8, use the R for repair and it will check and replace all your system files.
