Hi David,Check out the manual linked here. Scroll down the document to the bottom of page 34. Locate the section called "Exposure Compensation" and make adjustments as needed. This should solve the problem & good luck!

I put a bad card in my camera without realizing it

One solution that has worked in the past is to clean the contacts in the camera. This can be done just by working the card in and out several times. Also take out the batteries and using cleaning alcohol on the card and working in and out of , but if you do this... allow the camera and card to air dry about 1 hour before using.

You may download the manual for free from http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_support_manuals.asp?id=720Consider getting a card reader instead of a cord. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

For several years my C-3020

In the camera menu, there should be a setting for "review" to allow you to set the number of seconds the picture remains on the screen. Also, you can always review the pictures you've taken by pressing the review button on the camera...it's usually a button with an arrow that points to the right.

My picture card is saying

Hi.

Check AE lock custom button:

d373c1c.gif

Ensure that the memory card has no protective seal or object in front of the protection area. See here.

Ensure that the files are not individually protected (Key sign in settings)

If that does not fix the problem, then the card may be defective. In that case replace the card.

Here a manual.

  • Not aware of a 6v card this is old school technology and I thought they only made 3.3 and 5v cards to be comparable with PC voltage - this was the new floppy in the day.
  • A notched top corner on the left side, when facing the front of the card, indicates a 5 volt card. A notched top corner on the right side, when facing the front of the card, indicates a 3.3 volt card.
