Green screen

It sounds as thought the lower light strip has malfunctioned & blown the red/blue LED lights leaving only the green bulb functioning, I would ring the makers repair team for a repair if it's under warrentee or a repair quote, if warrentee has expired, from my personal experience showed me that a new TV is cheaper. I hope this helps.....

DUDE! Your TV was Manufactured in October 1998! Man that's almost 20 years ago! Instead of hunting/asking for help here you may consider getting local help to 'push it to the curb'! Even your TUNER won't receive the new DIGITAL channels without a external converter... honestly ~ I think you got your money's worth!

My 5 year old Phillips

I have no idea about where to get repairs as I don't live there but it sounds like you have a bad power board and it could be repaired yourself if you took the back off and got the part number off the board and ordered a new one. Please be a little careful when removing your board as if its been plugged in recently the capacitor on the hot side of the board can hold over 100 volts for awhile.

Phillips Plasma TV keeps turning its self off

Sounds like The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

The model no is13p601-00aa; I do not have a remote and I didn't have any sucess when trying to use menu located on tv; can you offer me any suggestions on what to do?

Buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have. Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the sites. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some on-line sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

Tv does no power or sound

Likely a failed power supply. A new replacement unit if available may make a new set more cost-effective. You may find a used (pulled from another set) unit but make sure you have some kind of warranty since it too may be bad. Possible source: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy

Phillips tv has red tint across screen

This brand is known for getting discolored CRT cooling fluid in the blue and green CRTs. At 10 years old, it's almost for sure .. unless never used. A bit expensive repair. Don't attempt this yourself unless you're both a TV tech and a transmission mechanic ,, LOL.

I have a 52 in. tv magnovox the color on the screen is not as clear it has alot of red and the color scheme is medium

6d3e6c1f-c991-4dcf-aa4f-930b9d111d87.pngBelow are two of the most common problems encountered with projection TV sets. Problem #1 - CONVERGENCE PROBLEMProjection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. This is a very common failure on Projection TV sets and a fairly simple DIY fix.Common Symptoms include....
  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
  • TV shuts off after powering on - TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some photos of convergence problems.b801654a-71fa-4c28-b84f-3a1a6801d5e3.jpgHere is a quick test....Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence. You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right. If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem. Note: If you TV has as flash focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a solutionCONVERGENCE SOLUTIONYou will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses. This is a a fairly easy DIY job if you know what you are doing. If you have never done this before we would advise calling a shop or if you want to do it yourself get a complete kit with instructions and support from TvRepairKits.comTheir kits include a step by step instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, email/phone support, etc. Problem #2 CRT Fluid is CloudyProjection tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around video. What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from TvRepairKits.com . It includes replacement coolant, step by step instructions, support, etc.
