Bought this tv used it was working great before I

You stirred it up....literally! The projection tubes have sealed chambers and lenses, the chambers are filled with a coolant responsible for cooling the projection tube surface, so the tubes can operate at the high levels necessary to project nice bright images on the screen. That coolant unfortunately becomes contaminated over time, causing the coolant to become "cloudy". Moving the set stirred up the contaminants, allowing the set to sit idle may settle some of the "yuck" back down but the only sure cure is to replace the coolant. The coolant is Glycol based, and therefore is poisonous, much as automotive anti-freeze is, and the old should be recycled in a similar manner. There are many electronics parts outlets such as MCM Electronics, that sell projector coolant if you wish to attempt replacement yourself. It can be a very messy job. It requires a small turkey-baster of sorts with a small hose attached to extract the coolant. Myself I saved a squeese bottle from one of the wife's hair coloring episodes to which I attached a clear piece of aquarium line. That worked pretty well. I suggest that before you start the process that you cover the tv chassis to prevent any of the coolant from contaminating the circuits below the tubes. Otherwise you may turn the set into a giant paperweight.
Post back if you have any questions.

Changed heat transfer oil, now no pic or sound

The liquid is called Glycol and is highly toxic--it is like antifreeze but much more concentrated and dangerous.

It is also conductive and will short things out---DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR HANDS AS YOU WILL ABSORB IT INTO YOUR BODY! The only way it can be removed is with water---cleaning with anything else will not totally remove it.

Which tube or tubes did you remove and refill and what was the reason you did this?

Keep in mind I have done this type of repair before and I am in California and allow for possible difference in time with you.

Give me as much information as you can and I will be happy to assist you.

In the HD Input AV 4 area, it has a hole for a V

This is for an older style HD converter box. I do not believe that they are available anymore. The H is for Horizontal Sync and the V is for Video.

I hope that this helps.

Philip tv has problems

If model number is 55pw9363 it sounds like you have a common problem in these sets--convergence.

If you go into the customer menu and select convergence and it is skewed and will not adjust the set needs the convergence circuit repaired.

I am attaching a couple of photos of sets with convergence trouble for you.

I also have Step by Step start to finish instructions for this repair in this model set--they tell you everything you will need and how to do it..If you are unable to do the repair---most shops are going to get 300 or more for this repair---you can buy almost all the parts you will need on EBAY for less than 30 dollars.

I have repaired hundreds of sets with convergence problems.

If the photos and the information helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free. If you want the instructions let me know and I can post them here for free.
