I have a Philips CDR775. While playing

If this would have been a lens problem the music should have stopped way before the display - bad advice. Your problem is in the processor of unit, it lock up.
This can be caused by a lot of things but it's usually from the capacitors on th power source - they dry up, the voltage is no longer filtered accordingly and the spikes cause a phenomenon called latchup. To clear it you must disconnect the source from the mains to allow the capacitors to naturally discharge - this is why you need that 10 minutes break.
The player is fixable - all you will need to do is to replace all the electrolytic capacitors from the power source and mainboard.

When i put a balank cdr the recorer says wrong

Listen to it. Go out and buy "CD-R for AUDIO" or "CD-Music" blank CD's and it will cooperate. Home CD recorders are designed to reject data CD-R media for recording.

I trying to hook up My philip Cdr 775 to a denon

Depends on what you want to record and what capabilities the other equipment has - analog audio passed through the Denon and/or digital audio from it or another device, like a CD player. There are both Inputs and Outputs.

Treat it like a tape deck: It will have analog input from the receiver's Tape Out jacks and it will send analog playback and monitoring to the receiver on the Tape In jacks. (Page 14)

Ditto for compatible digital connections. (Page 15)

You can find the manual on Retrevo.com. Just register and download it. You're going to need it to make use of the machine anyway.
