According the manual for this TV the remote control has an input button, it is left of the power button. Make sure that the remote mode slected for TV not VCR or DVD and press input button to make a selction, make sure that the power to the DVD player is on. If yours is different try stepping through the channels buttons, some TVs input is selected through the channel buttons.

The Input button on the original remote is needed to switch to the AV1 or AV2 connections. Unfortunately, I do not believe that the Sanyo DS27930 has an equivalent Input button on the TV. A replacement remote is available here: http://www.emtcompany.com/sanyo-ds27930-remote/rc64.html . Other universal remotes may be able to transmit the Input signal. You will need a remote that was programmed over 6 months after the TV was released with an Input or Source button. Then try all Sanyo codes until you find one that controls all of the features. Something likely in the power supply, if taken apart someone should be able to hear where it is coming from.....Some regular sets will at the high voltage cup on the tube build a static level that will slowly discharge and this may mean a issue there.
