CAN I RECORD A MOVIE FROM VHS TO DVD?

Not if you mean recording within that 1 unit from VHS to DVD.You would need a second unit DVD recorder which normally requires a digital input of some sort such as a cable box or a self-contained digital scanner but I am not sure if that would even work.It would depend on what the media input was recorded on the VHS.

Safe mode

The safe mode on Sanyo VCRs locks out the buttons on the machine. Try using the remote. To turn off the safe mode, look for a button on the remote labeled "Safe."

How do I get the DVD player to eject a DVD when it only wants to load when I press eject?

Likely something in the mechanism is out of position causing this. First thing I would do is open unit and watch to see what happens when you power it up--also look nothing is inside the unit that does not belong there.Combo units almost never sell "parts" for the DVD part--only the complete unit (expensive if even available).

I have a Sanyo DVW-6000

Hi,

I am sorry to hear regarding the trouble.

This is a common problem on this unit and many complaints has already been registered for the same cause.Unfortunately, there is no ' quick ' fix and it would need repair. You could try to disconnect the power supply for few minutes, say 30 minutes and then turn it ON. If that does not help, repair or replacement is the only option. On most of the other models, you would often find a tiny hole next to the tray for manually open the tray door, however this model does not have. You would need to remove the top of the machine to see if you can gain enough access to manually unwind the mechanism by hand. If you cant do that the whole of the deck would need to come out to get at the tray motor it is probable that the drive belt usually a very small one has failed. Be advised to disconnect the power from the wall power.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your Sanyo DVD/VCR combo unit. Pressand hold the VCR/DVD button located on the top of your remote until all mode buttonback lights come on, then release. Use the number buttons to enter thecodes for your Sanyo DVD/VCR combo unit; here some of the codes we currently have: 549, 583, and 608. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the codeworks try several different functions on the remote to make sure it willproperly operate the TV. Keep in mind that some codes may not be compatiblewith your equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for thatdevice until you find one that is compatible with your equipment.
If you were not able to get your DISH remote to work with it with the codes provided, try a power scan. Pressand hold the VCR/DVD button located on the top of your remote until all mode buttonback lights come on, then release. Press and release the power button. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the VCR/DVD combo unit. If the code for the equipment comes up, it will power off. Press the pound (#) button.

Cannot hear sound

You should check your SCART cable and the SCART sockets on both the TV and the DVD players. Make sure none of the pins on the SCART cable connectors are bent, loose - or missing. I suggest you also try another SCART cable and ensure you haven't accidentally muted the DVD player from the remote.
