For your remote problem, mine has stopped working a couple of times and here is what Sharp had me do: Take the batteries out of the compartment. Next press and hold down the power button on the remote for a count of 30 seconds. Return batteries and the RC should be reset. As for the other problem, I had a similar thing happen tonight, hence I am on this site looking for help. My remote quite working, so I did the above, to no avail. I noticed the channel number box was frozen on the screen. I could not turn the TV off manually and had to unplug from AC. I plugged it back in and got sound but no picture, just that bluish dark screen. TV would not turn off. Then I got nothing, no sound, no pic. I left the TV unplugged for several minutes, 5 or so, plugged it in and it did work and is working now, RC too. You might try unplugging it for an extended time.
The cable connector running from tv is loose.
cannot be tightend. the coax connection is soldered in place. if you use a cable box or vcr you could use composite input and get a better pict. use the vcr or cable box to bypass tvs tuner
Hook up speakers to 32 inch lcd hdtv
"Line" level audio output is available at the audio output phono jacks at the top of the rear panel, but not speaker-level output. So, you'll need an amplifier to use in conjunction with your external speakers. (An alternative would be "powered" or "amplified" speakers that have their own amplifier, but often are less satisfactory acoustically). You don't necessarily need to get a full-fledged "receiver" with multiple in's & out's... I simply used an inexpensive stereo amplifier.
Connect the "Audio L - R" jacks on the rear of the set to the "line" or "aux" inputs on your chosen amplifier and speakers. If you go into the set's Menu - Option - Output Select and set it to "Variable", the internal speakers will be disabled, and you can control the volume (and muting) of the audio sent to the amplifier, and still have "armchair" control of the volume as before... but now with better stereo!
Turned on set....screen all black except a dark blue rectangle in center which reads:Failed to receive broadcast [E202]
That message is presented when a selected digital channel is too weak to decode. Let us hope that something was accidentally changed:
Is the channel legitimate?
Is the antenna/cable still connected (to the Digital input)?
Go into menu - setup - channel setup. Is the selection of either cable or air channels correct for your situation?
Use menu - setup - Antenna Setup-DIGITAL to examine the signal strength. Is there nothing at all, or is it just a question of strength?
Odds favor a change in channel setup that you would not have made intentionally, or a simple physical problem (input cable, etc.). Start from scratch, and check the settings and connections you originally made. Hopefully it will be simple and cheap!

The TV is on protect mode.
Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.
Also
ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending
bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box
or dvd connected.
If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing
led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while,
that indicates a fault condition.
The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.
1The
internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic
charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read
by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the
protection circuit.
2 The protection circuit detected a wrong
voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in
, startingthe flashing light.
If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.
If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.
Common faults
that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a
convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.
Check also
the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you
can get same flashing state because of the video cable.
If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual
If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.
Flat screen repair
It can be, but beware that the price of a new screen is 2/3rds the price of the TV. It would be more logical and practical to purchase a new TV that would come with a new warranty. If the crack is in the inside of the TV screen and it is still under warranty, this is usually deemed as manufacturers defect and it would be repaired or exchanged by them.
Blinking power and OPC lights
If you have tried to reset the TV by unplugging it for 2 minutes and still have the same issue then it is time to bring the set to a repair shop.

Well, the good thing you got a new TV out of it.
The best and easiest thing to do is sell it on your local Craigslist.
The parts inside the TV can be used to repair other TVs that have no damage to the screens. I would say $100 for the whole thing would be fair price for all the parts inside.
If nobody wants to buy it on Craigslist, go to Shopjimmy.com and contact them if they want to buy the TV from you. They're all about recycling parts.
No Picture with sound
sounds like you have a bad panel. This ussually happens when a backlight lamp has gone bad and the inverter board senses this and sends a signal to turn the backlight off.
