Look for any jammed button on your remote or on the TV. Just recheck on the settings and if necessary change it to factory default settings. If you have problem still, switch off TV, switch off Power and remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry.

Depends on what type of input your using. Maybe try dif cord( hdmi,component video or composite video) or try dif input on tv. Verify source has video out on dif tv or try dif source.

one of your transformers probably blew. had same problem with mine so took it apart and saw the problem. did some research. Darfon makes the power board and you have to buy the whole board not just the transformer. could cost you around 200 dollars. best bet is to call a local tv repair company and see if the have spare transformers for that lcd.

Select menu on the remote, then settings, then look for auto scan or auto install. Better follow the instructions given in the operation manual.

Sounds like we have the same problem with a similar Television, I'm attempting to fix a Westinghouse LTV-32w4HDC that has a great picture and sound for about 10 min max. then the screen goes almost completely black(you can make out the red colors somewhat) and the sound is just fine. From other posts on the internet I'm trying to replace the T-CON board. I just ordered one from www.tvpartsguy.com for 25.00 +$10 shipping. I'll post back when it comes in and if that solved the problem. My TV only has four boards in it: T-CON, Main, Inverter and Power board. T-CON seems like the most likely canidate from other posterings and it was the cheapest. Next likely canidate will be the Inverter board I guess. If you have a phillips screw driver and ahve ever taken apart a desktop computer this T.V. shouldn't be a problem ( if you feel uncomfortable, take lots of pictures first so you know how it all goes back together).

Check its backlight inverter board for any shorted component/s.

May be a power supply issue--first thing if set is opened is to look for bad filter caps---a LOOK will reveal if this is the issue or not.One on left is good and one on right is bad.Ones with arrows and others are extreme example of bad caps

I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:ISSUES: 1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.Answers to issues:1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.

Ensure your cables are good and secured properly, not shorted etc.

If no signal via the cable fitting try hooking set via one of the sets of jacks on the back (audio/video or component) to see if coax input or tuner is bad.If the set works with a DVD etc hooked to one of those inputs and your cable is good--maybe a bad tuner in the set---also if using a box try hooking cable direct to set to rule out the box.

This is the problem with universal remotes; either they will not program for a specific model or key features are missing;To my knowledge Westinghouse is no longer in business.

HelloYou haven't stated the type of signals that comes with your co-axial cable; analogue or digital. Anyway, you have to retune the TV after connecting it properly with Cox-Cable receiver with TV.
