Dell Pocket DJ MP3 Player - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Dell Pocket DJ does not charge using USB Cord
If you find none of this has worked you need to try some other decvie
in the same usb port. If it is plugged in and operates correctly, you
have narrowed it down to the dj unit. Since the chord has tested good,
we should go to the unit itself. Four tiny screws located on the
outside of the case need to be removed in order to open it. Carefully
remove the hard drive, then the battery.
Now with the cable hooked up to the usb port you will use a meter to
check some voltages. Perhaps you have a friend who can help. The
batteries should read 3.6 VDC. Measured like that its not a true
indication of the state of the batteries, but tell us that the charging
circuit is probably working okay.
Put it back together carefully, making sure every connection is
properly seated and there is no damage. Try it again, making sure you
hold down the button for 3-4 seconds. If you have done all of this, the
problem is electronic and at a component level. Suggest you take it or
send it to the repair shop dell has.

Dell Dj 5 will not hold a charge
FYI, replacing the battery did not solve the problem of the battery refusing to charge. Instead, I've spent $30 at batteryship.com and since I've opened the battery I can't return it. There must be a software or hardware failure that's preventing the unit from charging the battery.
Battery will not fully charge
the battery is kaput. you can send it to apple and they can install another li-ion battery, for a fee of course....there may be some local stores that can do it as well....go to an apple store, or their website for more info.

My Dell Pocket DJ Sofware in not compatible with
Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?
(making a program work with windows 7)
Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is
for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like
you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from
other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before
installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use
"troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program
installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will
allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run.
Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:))
Ear phone jack needs to be replaced
If you know anyone with soldering capability the pads on the headphone jack just need to be re-soldered. Mine did the same thing so I re-flowed the solder joint and now it works perfect.

Dell dj mp3 player will not boot up.
It is probably defective. If you bought it new, try to return it and / or get a replacement. If you bought it used, unfortunatly thats what lots of people do with stuff that is broken.(They try to sell the broken item without telling you)
