The Pocket DJ is essentially a rebadged Zen Micro, and the Zen Micro chargers for it work.

Dell pocket dj
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news But probably not. As I've said all along it's not worth repairing most of these port. mp3 players as they charge more for labor then there worth. This is one reason Im not in the repair buisiness any more!! The whole repair thing dropped out of the bottom come about 2002 to 2004 and most of the sets that came in they didnt even wanna spend 45.00 bench charge and that was applyed to the repair. Now some folks would say so lower your prices But with the price of rent ,heat, insurance and to pay your employees with health insurance you cant give nothing away \!! But this is why alot of things are not repaired and simply repalced. Good luck
It won't turn on!
Have you checked to make sure the lock on the back hasn't been switched?
Frustration with dell pocked dj!!!! HELP PLEASE!!
I'm not suggesting anything... because i got my own problem and i don't
know how to post my topic so ima use urs... lmao thanks!!!
OMG! Please help me too!!! My 10 year old neighbor cam over and told me
she wanted more songs on her ipod nano, so i put some on there just
like i do mine, but mine's just a regular ipod. (You know the one
that's tall... idk what they're called. It's not a shuffle =] )
Anyways, i don't use itunes. i use realplayer. Which works fine for
mine, and the first couple of songs i put on her nano, were fine. then
i deisconnected it and checked if it was alright. The songs were there!
So i plugged it back in and then put more, but then when i checked
again, the menu said "No Music"... i'm freaking out! She started
crying, and my dad told me i'd better fix it... which i think so to
right?! So i plugged it back in and the songs showed up on the computer
still, but the darn thing still says no music. No artists or anything.
I tried reseting it, I'm out of ideas. I even did the Complilation
thingy... nothing! And i went to ipod help and things on google, but
that didn't help much. I need a ipod ****! lol Or someone who knows a
heck of a lot more than me! Which that should be anybody! Please help
me!
Dell mp3 problem
On the left side next to the jack, there is a screw. Take a small screw driver and tighten the screw. On mine, I had the same problem, then was messing around one night and discovered that the screw controlled the pins inside the jack. Hopefully that helps.
No license to play track
That means you will have to sync your devicce in oder to play the songs on the device..what you will have to do is to transfer one new track that you download to your device...then once you finish transfer it the tracks, it should update every single tracks on the device...if that doesnt solve the problem you are having..what you will have to do is to format the player using windows media player then once you format it transfer the tracks over and the should be playing...
Hope that helps
Thank You

Firmware Problem
I had this problem as well and found help. I tried the suggestions below and the problem was fixed!
What you can try is this:
Open up Control Panel
Click on Performance and Maintenance
Click on System
Click on Hardware tab
Click on Device Manager button
If you see a Yellow Exclamation mark beside something that looks like the DJ then double click on that.
If you see something that says to Update the driver then do so. If it asks to checked Windows Update, choose this option!!
If this fails then delete it from your computer by pressing the Del key then clicking OK.
Restart the computer, connect your DJ and see if it works properly.
If not, open up Device Manager again.
This time remove ALL your USB ports, everything under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Restart your computer, let it reinstall your USB devices, connect your DJ with its done, hope it works...
If not, open up Add/Remove Programs
Click on Show Updates box in the top middle if your running Service Pack 2
Scroll all the way down until you see Windows Media Player 10. If more than one WMP 10 item is showing then remove those first. After your PC restarts remove WMP10.
If removed successfully then your computer will now have WMP9 installed.
Open up WMP9, click on Help, click on Check for Player Upgrade.
WMP10 should be displayed. Let it update... After your computer restarts, install the Windows Media Format 9.5 Runtime from this sticky
Restart your computer, connect your DJ and hope it works.......
Or you can just take it to another computer running Windows XP and WMP10 and if it recognizes correctly then put back a v1 firmware, I recommend 1.02.01. Download it from this FAQ
Hope this helps you as much as it helped me.
