If even affer charging for a long time the battery is draining off you will need to change the battery. Remove cover carefully test and confirm before you replace. attempt only if familiar and to do it carefully.Good day

Connect you MP3 player to your Computer/Laptop and see if you have any .MP3 or .WMA music files: if you have none, or the files format/encoding are not compatible, the player will say 'file not found' !
In any case, try resetting your MP3 player (look in your manual, but it is usually hold the software controlled on/off button in the OFF position for 15+ seconds before releasing it to the neutral position). As a last resource, also reformat your 'flash' drive in your MP3 player using Windows format function or a Flash drive utility.

mine just started doing that today as well!!!!
is there a way to fix it or do i have to buy a new one?

Ribbin cable is loose inside from motherboard to hard drive. take it apart and slide it back in.

go to http://www.rca.com/digitalaudiodownloads/ and select your mp3 model and update the firmware.
