Without a model number I'll have to list several solutions.

Push Vol Down and Chan Up on the set at the same time, Then go to password screen and enter 0000.

Reduce Vol to minimum and hold Vol Down on set and Vol Down on remote.

Hold Vol Down on TV while pushing "TV" button on remote for 3 seconds.

With TV OFF, press and hold Vol Down on TV and "Clear" on remote for five (5) seconds.

Press "Menu" button on TV and "TV" button on remote for 3 seconds.
Some models use the Vol Down button on remote instead of "TV" button on remote.

With Remote go to Parental Menu and enter 2211 for code.

Go to parental Menu and press Mute, Display, Clear, Reset in sequence on the Remote.

Press "Menu" button on the set and Vol Down on Remote for 3 to 5 seconds.

With remote go to parental screen and press Chan Up and Vol Up on the front of set for 3 to 5 seconds.

I'm guessing the signal from the antenna is too weak. With digital, it will not get fuzzy as with analog, but rather will pixelate, go blank, or freeze. You need to figure out how to get more signal to the TV by moving or re-aiming the antenna, improving the connections (clean or repair), or amplifying the signal.

The "front end" of your Receiver might be defective. Since your other unit is working then what might be happening is the signal to your unit might be dropping, to check this I would use a Satellite power meter, however if you do not have one you can use your other unit and connect it to the cable that your supposed defective unit is connected to. If the unit works then the problem is the supposed defective unit, if the unit does not work then this denotes a possible cable problem. Tell me if this works for you?

Go into the menu and check the signal strenth to see if its going up and down or if its a stead as a rock. I have seen this problem be the reciver as I was a satillite contractor for 5 years in the past and I have installed 1000's. I have also seen your poblem be a small brance in the distance cause the freezing, also a bad connector from the lnb on the dish to the multiswitch, or a bad connector on the back of the reciver or even a pinch in the wire but the most common thing I have found would be a loose connection on the back of the reciver with the fitting wasent screwed on all the way.. If the signal is rock steady, the reciver will need to be replaced as the recivers dont pay to be repaired. good Luck

Try to check the power supply output side where anything could came into contact with positive and negative line for which when you press play button then it shuts down.

RCA video cables handle analog signals. HDMI cables carry digital video signals. You need a converter. If you are using a component video converter, check if you swapped two of the three RCA video cables. (There are some A/V projectors that can do the translation of RCA and HDMI internally. Most modern tv remotes are not normally designed to be repaired. You will possibly need to replace it. there are plenty of cheaper after market version that will do the job just as well. Your other option, and yes I know this is a silly answer, when you want to mute the TV is to simply press the volume down button to zero then turn it back up when you want sound.
