RCA P52960 52" Rear Projection Television - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
The picture is bigger than the screen... Picture
Have you tried hitting the format picture button on your remote control. Seems the picture is in zoom mode. If you have a cable box for HD Channels then look on the remote for a button (format) or Screen size.
My rca d52w26 convergence is gone.
Look in the on screen menu for convergence and if it is not there you have a open ( bad ) protection part on the main board, a kit exists for most of these sets for this===buttons alone will not likely help here.the convergence menu missing is a result of this and the part in question is often bad because of bad solder connections. If you need more info let me know.
How do i get the pip, Picture in picture to work ??
If it has the feature buttons on the remote for it, swap, position etc. Some older sets have to have signal routed to one of the rear video inputs for a source for the PIP. Newer sets have two tuners--one for main and one for PIP---if pulled up the swap will switch one picture for the other--some allow both on the screen at same time side by side.Read the owner manual to see if the set has PIP.
POWER SUPPLY NEEDED FOR EYEFI LX 4700 TV
Hi.About your EYEFI power supply. Did you check the blue electrolytic capacitors on the P.S. board? I have a power supply board here for the same tv. There are 6 of the 35 volt /2200uf capacitors. They all look like they have been a little overheated on the top of them.If you look at the top of them real close and compare it to a good one somewhere else on the board you might see a difference in thier appearance. The top of the canister should be extremely flat and the blue wrap around it should not be stretched. On mine it is slightly noticable that these 6 capacitors ar beveled and the blue wrap is stretched some and I think if I replace them it will work.I have done this kind of work for many years then got out of it.I'm getting back into it because I like doing flatscreens. It would be alot cheaper for you this way. I haven't located a parts place yet to order them. They have a white silicone around them and maybe thats because they get really hot. I don't know a flatscreen that likes too much heat or too much moisture for that matter. There is a place that has these power supplies for sale but he is out of themright now and personally if it's more then 50 bucks it's a rip His are 49.99 w/free ship.Don't let anyone tell you that because EYEFI went out of business that you can't find these There is a guy on ebay selling them for 139 bucks/frigin rip off. I told him good luck with that..lol. Anyway hope this helped. If you find one cheaper and in stock please let me know. Thanks and good luck. Lisagee:)

RCA P52960 52" Projection TV. When the 5A 125V
It is an indication of shorted parts on the power supply.
Replacing the fuse alone can't solve the problem.
I've suspected that you have a short on the following parts (rectifier diode, regulator I.C.) on the power supply section but needs to check by a qualified technician to isolate the problem. It is quite technical and not diy.
If you unit is under warranty then send it to the nearest service center of your manufacturer then avail the warranty. They will fix it for you for free and/or a little charged only.
